Too much play-- can't tighten it
I bought this for my young son's new toolbox. Its just the right size for smaller hands or to keep in a travel kit. Its only got 1 1/4" max jaw height which is small, but to be expected on a compact tool and enough for our needs. The grip is nice and thick. My problem is that the fulcrum joint was very loose which gives it too much play and it slips out of groove. I've got at least a dozen other tongue and groove pliers and often you can tighten this, but this has a one piece rivet. I was finally able to tighten it by smacking the rivet on an anvil with a hammer, but this should not be necessary and if not careful you could break it... It also arrived "new" but quite scuffed and scratched up with a couple small rust spots. Its a tool so I wouldn't normally worry about this, but its part of a gift and already looks used.

Sturdy & well made.
These are well made, sturdy, and just the right size for many uses. As an older person, I use these on lids that I can't open anymore due to loss of strength in my hands-like plastic milk bottle lids, Gatorade, etc.

Completely rusted on the back side
I normally don't have anything bad to say about Stanley products. I ordered these pliers and a stanley torpedo level at the same time. They were supposed to be a birthday present for my husband. I don't normally ever have a complete with Stanley products but this is a joke. They were rusted apparently long before we ever took them off the package. I had them at my house for a little over a week before my husband got them. I kept them in the bedroom in a temperature controlled environment and never came in contact with water. I am completely disappointed with this product and quite frankly I was embarrased when my husband opened them. Not only were they rusted but they are loose at the joint as well and will not last more than a week doing the work that my husband does. Save your money. Stanley and Amazon should be ashamed that something went out in this condition. #StanleyFatMax #amazonprime

Stanley always has my back.
I work as a professional tech for an apartment community. Stanley makes a solid line of tools for any budget. This one is no exception. Within minutes of it arriving I cracked open a water heater line, ripped off a few angle stops and tightened the new fittings back on.Day one of putting this guy through the ringer. Love Stanley tools.

I highly recommend these plyers
Talk about savings! The dentist wanted $87 to pull ONE tooth! After a few steel reserves and some bath salts I managed to get four of those buggers out right in the 7-11 parking lot. I highly recommend these plyers.

The slip joint is looser than I like but works fine, the handles feel great and look good.

Ok
Was a bit smaller than I expected, but you get what you paid for, so. But it did what it did.
