After wearing these for a week I've concluded the following: These are goofy looking... Perhaps cartoonish/childish describes them best. I had two unrelated friends point this out, in similar words, on two seperate occasions. Value for cost? Haha get real; this is just overpriced nonsense. You can find something that looks better, and feels better, at a much lower price.

They look really nice and go well with most outfits. However, they aren't very comfortable due to the stiff material on the back of the shoe. Over time, it seems to break in but not very comfortable overall

I typically wear hiking boots and chunky black shoes with supplementary insole arch support. So the idea of wearing a slipper-like shoe of this kind is somewhat foreign to me. It's a clear difference to be walking flat-footed, and while these are quite comfortable I don't know that I'd ever consider them for distance or irregular terrain. They're not *bad* to walk in, and easy shoes to get on and off...wearable without socks. But I wouldn't hike (or skip) around trees in them. A superficial examination of these shoes being very light and thin might make you think they were cheap. Looking closer you can see they're not...and that they are manufactured with nice materials and attention to detail. But not materials that I think would fare well in the outside world, and the soft bright white sole looks like it would wear and get dirty easily. Reddit reviews suggest many people have experienced short lifetimes of just a few months. So I've assigned them to being a really overqualified pair of house slippers. (I thought about wearing them at the gym, but they wouldn't be good for running on treadmills, so that's out.) The size 12 ran a little bit tighter than I expected as I am usually between an 11.5W and 12. But it's all right--they're flexible, and a 13 would be too big. I'm certainly glad to have these--but they were a review pair. Had I paid for them myself I'd think it was at least 2x too much for shoes I'm only going to wear around the house. But I could see these as being a good choice for someone who has a job indoors, maybe in something like a retail position where you stand around a lot, if flat-but-comfortable is your style. (Just maybe swap them out for something tougher when you change out of your uniform.)

I've had a pair of Allbird sneakers before. I wore them on a trip to Disney World and walked about 120 miles in them in about two weeks before retiring them. They performed exceptionally well, the wool was incredible, even against the elements like humidity, rain and heat. These shoes are maybe ten times better and more comfortable. I'm heading to Disney again this Summer, and I can already tell I'm going to be completely comfortable in these the whole way. The wool lining inside the shoe is like a thinner, more comfortable version of the padding Skechers puts in their shoes. It's literally much thinner, this shoe has a much smaller profile, but I really believe it's just as comfortable. I got the white on white version of these sneakers, and they look great. I almost don't want to wear them or risk them getting dirty, but I have to, because that's just who I am. These shoes are going to be here for a good time, not a long time, but that's okay. If you want to keep these shoes looking so fresh and so clean, that's up to you, I'm going out there to live. Really comfortable, which I was worried about. I wear an 11 1/2 wide, and followed the advise on the listing, and ordered these a size up because they don't come in half sizes. While I would have preferred a wider version of the shoe, the size 12 fits great, I'd even guess that if I actually were a 12 and ordered true to size, it would be a bit snug. Don't risk it and order down a step.

I am generally easy to please on most product except for shoes. Good shoes are hard to find and I am generally reluctant to buy them online unless I know the brand. This was a risk I am glad I took. Are they a little pricey? Yeah. But they are packed with value and worth every penny. It is a fair price. The fit? Perfect. Most shoes I have bought online always lean towards wide and this is just a good fit. The comfort? Great arch support. Well made insole. The material for summer breathes so very well. Quality of make? Again. The level of detail and care of construction. This is not a cheaply made shoe and will handle the wear and tear of life. The look? I love boat shoe esque design. But I am not a fan of leather for that sort of wear. Canvas, bamboo, etc for summer is just cool and keeps the feet from sweating on a casual day and if the shoe gets stained, you can put them in the clothes washer and you are good to go!
