It depends on the existing fence and its purpose. This plastic net will not give a very strong fence and will need well supporting. Do you mean to extend the length of a fence or its height? Well supported it could be ~OK fixed to the top of an existing fence but if you are extending the length it will not be very animal proof.

Hi, we bought this plastic fence to stop the cat getting out through the hedge. That worked, but Rabbits/Rats chewed a hole in it. But the cat could not get out. Galvanised Chicken mesh would be better.
