Shock Doctor Ultra Knee Support with Bilateral Hinges

I teach dance fitness classes and my knee went (old injury came back) I tried the normal elastic style knee supports, I even tried a small with an extra medium one on top but my knee still felt like it wasnt held in place. I looked through and read so many reviews and came across the shock doctor ultra. I have worn it to teach now for a couple of weeks and it is AMAZING!! because of the hinges down each side of my knee there is no way it can rotate or move where I dont want it to, it is held still and in place. I dont wear it all day as I need my knee, muscles, ligaments to work and recover but for the classes it is brilliant. I wanted to do a review in case there is any instructors out there looking for something. It is more expensive but so worth it I promise you. You cant extend your leg fully and it takes some patience to get the thing off but honestly, dont hesitate.

I badly damaged my knee with an impact injury from the side which resulted in being unable to walk at all for a week. I was going on holiday and taking my two Rottweilers which need a lot of walking daily so I ordered this support on line. It seemed expensive at the time but when it arrived it was worth every penny and more. It enabled me to go on holiday with the dogs and since coming back I am still using it for our daily walks and even when I do my yoga practise. What a wonderful and well made support for the knee and the metal hinges keep the knee straight and stop it bending to the side again which it should not do.

I ruptured my ACL and was in need of a brace to stabilize my knee. This brace was recommended by a Physio on YouTube so I thought I’d give it a go.I was worried it would be too small as I ordered the S based on the size & measurement guidelines but then read reviews that say it runs small so order a size up. This was not the case for me & the S fits perfectly and is even starting to get a bit loose at the top and the elastic Velcro straps are already stretched out.I still would recommend this brace as it’s extremely supportive & doesn’t fall down as others do.I would agree with another reviewer who said it’s impossible to take off after the gym if you’re sweating or it gets damp. I really struggle to remove it after a work out. Otherwise, I don’t have any major issues.I have not yet washed it so will see how it holds up after a run through the washing machine.

Expensive but works well. My knee feels supported. My measurements was a XS but I’m glad I got a S as it’s quite snug

Great product, made a huge difference to my knee injury. Still using it from time to time as required with great results. Highly recommended.

I'm on the boundary between sizes and thought about going for the larger one, but glad I didn't. It's stretched a bit and is now perfect. it's quite comfortable and not particularly restrictive.Update - its very hard to get off after a hard workout. there is no easy way to pull it off and I have now torn the stitching pulling it off. needs a set of grips along the bottom or something.

I measured as instructed, the item is far too small and the hole for the patella is tiny. I know my kneecaps are not oversized so its just a bit odd. very uncomfortable

Use this for football after an ACL reconstruction and arthroscopy, and it feels very good. It takes some time to adjust, but overall it helps me keep my stability and security while playing. After a while, you don’t feel the brace anymore, and it feels like it is not there at all. Pay attention to the sizing though, since it should fit like a glove.

I ordered my brace yesterday and received it today and couldn't wait to try it out. I had knee surgery (partial menisectomy) on my right knee a few months ago and have been working hard to get it back to functional. I went for a walk/light intermittent jog. I was very happy with the support and confidence provided by the brace. NOTE** It does fit tight but it shouldnt be loose anyway. if you order according to the chart, One size up if you are close to the max on the previous size you should be fine. Only negative thing about the brace is that it's hard to take off when you sweat in it but ill take that trade off any day! I will update in a few months as to its durability after I abuse it a lil bit but it seems very well put together.

Ottimo prodotto, mi ha permesso di sciare senza alcun problema in tutta sicurezzaHo avuto una leggera distorsione del ginocchio lo scorso anno e con questo tutore il ginocchio è risultato stabile. Unico problema , ma do ugualmente 5 stelle, la prima volta che l'ho indossato, dopo una giornata di sci, mi aveva lasciato dei segni sulla pelle. Nei giorni successivi non l'ho più indossato direttamente su pelle ma con una leggera ginocchiera sotto e l'ho stretto di meno. Forse la parte a contatto con la pelle potrebbe essere foderata meglio ma per il resto è perfetto.

Me ha servido para rotura en ligamentos laterales, he pedido talla pequeña, ya que mi medida cae en medio del rango de la tabla, me queda algo justa en la pantorrilla al ser musculosa, lo que causa dificultad al quitarla, pero ninguna incomodidad al usarse, llevo una semana usando la, cumple su función, uno puede correr sin temor alguno, subir escaleras, evitar posibles desgarres laterales y frontales, y recuperarse poco a poco de la lesión. El precio es algo caro, pero se ofrece el producto más completo comparado a otras marcas, algunas costuras tienen hilos descosidos, las bisagras son fuertes, algunas costuras importantes como las de las bisagras no lucen aptas para soportar su peso, el velcro es bueno. En conclusión es recomendable y si notan alguna falla tras el uso, recomiendo reforzar la costuras, y engrasar de vez en cuando la bisagras, en cuanto a la talla es cierto lo que dice la tabla, al principio la sentía apretada pero se adapta al empezar a caminar.
