Works really good and gets a job done

GREAT WELDER NOTHING BAD TO SAY

This was a surprisingly decent welder for the money. I've run it on mig and stick. Haven't bought the tig torch yet but a buddy told me it does well on tig. I only have four complaints. 1. Ground clamp is trash but easily changed. 2. The power rocker switch is not very robust and sometimes it won't turn off so you have to unplug the machine. 3. It's not a great smaw machine. It works well enough with 7018 but not its strong suit. Forget 6010. 4. The wing nut self tightens on the wire spool and clamp locks the spool. I swapped out the wing nut for a nylock and it works fine. Great starter welder for the price and I recommend for the casual project welder.

First impressions of this welder is that it works. Build quality seems fine. I don’t see any issues. Previous person mentioned the gas solenoid leaks. Yes it does. Close your bottle when done welding.

Compact unit with plenty of power.

The first welder I received was defective as the fan would not work. It welded fine but would overheat quickly and shut off due to no fan. I ordered a replacement and the replacement welder worked flawlessly except that the 2 lb spool of flux wire would stick every few minutes and I would have to open it and take the pressure off. I have only used the flux wire with this welder but I welded up new crossmembers on a rusty truck frame and removed the muffler mounts and moved them and welded the muffler back on with no issues. I was worried about burning through the muffler with flux but I turned the amps and wire speed down and it worked perfectly. Overall, if this welder works, it works well. My brother is a full time welder and he was very impressed with the welding on the truck frame and he said he was going to pick one of these up. I love that I don't have to haul gas around and the entire package weighs about 20 pounds so it is very portable.

I have used it for both stick and fluxcore, and have had no problems (220v for stick and 120v for fluxcore). Lightweight and easy to move and use. I'm a retired shipyard welder and am actually impressed with all the features for the price, a buddy of mine, (also a welder) was impressed as well! Size is great, as well as the design!

I'm one who reads the crap out of reviews to research a product, but I have never left a review for others to read. After this experience with Tooliom I had to share my story. I've had my unit for 8 months now and only used it a few times. I had a fan issue where it would not come on anymore. The machine worked fine but I was afraid I would ruin the unit if I continued to run it with no fan. I contacted Tooliom via email and told them my issue. They walked me through a couple ideas to trouble shooting the fan. Nothing we did worked, and they said they would be sending me a package. I was expecting a new fan to replace my bad one and they sent me a whole new machine! I don't know about you, but I was really blown away by this. As a weekend warrior with no real welding experience this Machine and their product service team has made this new experience of welding a joy. Weld on my friends :-)

Bought this welder on sale to replace my mastercraft flux core at home. I’m use to welding with a miller 251 at work but got sick of having to tack projects together then bring them to work to weld. for a home machine this thing blew me away. Keep in mind the welds are not perfect but this is plugging in the machine and these are first passes using it. I’m sure with time you will be able to get this thing perfect. Right away I swapped the liner to test out aluminum welding. I hooked up the 100% argon from my miller encono tig and used .035” 5356 aluminum wire, u roller and a .045” tip in the gun. You will have to cut the liner after installing it and the end isn’t the same as the original but I used it without the threaded cap and worked fine. Played around on a scrap aluminum plate and it welds amazing for not using a spool gun only the factory whip. Next was swapping to mig mix and swapping the liner back. Isn’t hard takes 10 minutes. Swapped out the rolls and loaded in some .035 solid core. 305ws and 22v on some scrap plate these are the first welds and just setting to what I would as if I was using the miller 251 I’m use to. Blown away again by this machine Used the stick function just to test and it works good but will not be using that much if any. Overall blown away by the machine. The build is decent for sure cheap but the price reflects that. The dials are a bit funny to use and the system will take some getting use to. Tons of adjustability including inductance. I will probably be getting a spool gun just for easy of swapping back and forth but great machine for anyone who is a hobby welder or just starting out. The price on sale is nearly what these flux core mastercraft welders go for so it’s a no brainer.

Purchased this welder initially to weld aluminum with it, and we did get it dialed in to work pretty good for that even without a spool gun. Also works pretty good to weld steel, can weld extremely thin steel and also quite thick stuff as well. For what you pay is a great little welder, if you compare it to a Miller the gun response is definitely slower and all around just cheaper, also the nut to hold the spool on needs to be replaced with a lock nut or it will slowly tighten up till it doesn’t want to weld good. Definitely a good welder for the price!

Machine looks great but the work clamp came with a broken wire.

This welding machine has completely changed my understanding of welding. Before this, I used cheap Canadian welding machines. But when I tried this one, it cost just a little more than the cheap ones from Canadian Tier, and it was a miracle. It really welds incredibly well. I also wanted to add that they have a lot of cool stuff for these cars, I've already bought a lot of things.
