Thus was easy to install and simple to program. The price was perfect.

As it was to replace an obsolete 12 dip switch Genie exterior garage remote I expected it to have 12 physical dip switches. Initially after prying the back off (fortunately not damaging anything) and not finding the dip switches, I thought it best I read the instructions. The dip switch settings are virtual using 1 o 2 on the key pad to enter them after selecting the 12 switch Genie opener by pressing 4. Not quite what I expected. I definitely don't recommend trying to program this after having a couple of drinks! Unlike the original remote, it does not use a 9V battery, but two AAA cells, so hopefully more contemporary electronics will permit as long battery life as the old Genie.

I dropped one star in the rating due to the lack of support from the manufacturer never got an answer to the only email address that I could find. Directions are a little confusing, but if you follow them closely, the opener will work for you.

I read over the instructions twice and was able to complete the install. It was quick and easy. Listen for the clicks and don't forget to ENTER. It would be better if you could use the LEARN setup from your remote but there were no instructions for that.

While the keypad did not program on my initial attempt, I received excellent support from the seller and was able to resolve my issue. The device is working great.As an update to my previous review, I just wanted to say that this keypad is so much better than the OEM device that came with the opener. An outstanding feature is that every key depression is responded with a “beep” that the original did not do. The OEM device became intermittent after the first few days, but this device has been rock solid. Again a huge thumbs up for this device.

Wireless keypad arrived with a crushed corner on the manufacturer's box. Upon opening there was no plastic bag or any type of wrapping around the keypad. I opened the battery compartment to find a New Leader brand battery already installed and that made me think this unit had already been returned once. After numerous attempts to program and connect the keypad to my garage door opener failed, I tried it on my other opener where it also failed. The remote in my car was able to open the door and I was able to connect my other keypad to my opener. The keypad I received was definitely DOA!

I like that it is easy to pair with our system and that is great for the price.

The colour of the program button on your LifeMaster and Chaimberlain garage door openner has somethign to do with the encryption technology it uses to randomize requests to open your garage door. In the old days the message your garage door opener sent was the same every time, now it changes with every press.Anyways, this works exactly as expected. Programming took a few mins and a step ladder, but I got it.Works well, easy installation, and compatible with my very common model of opener.Recommended!

I followed the instructions for this opener perfectly, but it still would not open or close my garage. I also had to buy a new battery for it because the one provided came dead. It does come with a couple screws you would need to install it onto the side of your garage.
