They work great, but one of the 2-pack shorted out in less than a year. Bummer :(

They work great. When successfully swatting a flying pest, you are rewarded with a very satisfying CRACK!And at night you can detach the handle for a quick flashlight to guide you to the comfort building.

At various times of the year I have issues with fruit flies, particularly when they are younger, fast, and hard to kill. I had another electric bug swatter but it broke and I had to get a new one, so I bought a 2-pack of the Beastron. I liked the idea of it being rechargeable so I wouldn't have to buy batteries and contribute to the destruction of the earth. As far as killing bugs go this thing is GREAT. With old electric swatter, the voltage was lower, so the bugs would slowly fry and the room would smell like burning hair for a bit. The Beastron literally VAPORIZES fruit flies. They simply disappear. No mess, no fuss LOL. The ONLY downside to this product is the lack of an LED charge status indicator. You have to guess when it is fully charged, and you don't know when it needs to be recharged until.... it stops working. That's fairly annoying. If they can make one of these puppies and add a charge status indicator on it I'd upgrade in a heartbeat!

Ordered a couple of two-packs to make sure our outdoor party was a success. Of course, I forgot to open them until the day of the party, so I can't tell you just how long it takes to charge one, but every time I screeched to a halt and checked the light, it was time to plug in the next. (Love that a light tells you when it's fully charged.) Each comes with their own charging cord so if you have several wall-outlet to USB adapters you can charge them all at one. Party started at 5:00pm. The kids kept us safe from mosquitoes all night long, and they were still going strong at midnight.Cons: The protective mesh was bent down into the electric screen on one unit and the edge of the mesh had come loose on another. Both were easily fixed in under two minutes with a pair of tweezers. And... kids should be told not to swat bugs sitting on branches! Small sticks will penetrate the protective mesh and fry spots on the electric screen. It still works, but just not in that spot. I replaced an older, weaker one of these zappers that had died with this model. Not having to change batteries is nice. As for the strength, I noticed it zaps slightly bigger flies and other bugs than my old one. On my old one if I zapped a fairly big house fly, it would shake it off and fly away again. With this one, it's usually toast on one zap. Even bigger stuff still requires multiple zaps, but this is definitely an improvement. No complaintsI also like the extra off switch this unit has compared to my old one. So I don't have to worry about zapping myself when I accidentally hit the button as I pick it up.

I haave a few others without the light and they just have the one button to push and charge the net. The on and off switch is not needed and the light??? Yea right. Let's go hunting in the dark. LOLSeriously. Why the on/off switch? It does not use the battery lying around and if it is accidentally moved to off, nothing happens when you try to zap. The push button is all that is needed. I taped the other so it could not be turned off.

This thing is awesome. We love zapping the bugs in our backyard. I will say the price was way too high. We bought the two pack a month ago at the same price But this one is good than that.

I like the fact that I don't have to keep buying batteries and the flashlight really works well and I use it for me when I need to find Little things I might drop during the day , but not easy to locate." it's really Great "Thanks!
