Kartboy Rear Subframe Lockdown Bolts Subaru Models (inc. 2002-2007 WRX / STI)

This item is a very easy install and something I never would have thought made a significant difference. The intention of the part is to lock the sub-frame in place during hard cornering maneuvers. This reduces temporary camber effect in tight corners. Does it work? Yes. Will it alone allow you to take turns 20 ~ 30 MPH faster and be safe? No. This item is designed to support a system that has been upgraded. I have this installed in my 1998 Subaru Forester S that I rallycross in. I did notice a tighter, "more connected" feeling to the rear end. Almost as though I had a harder time getting it to break loose when powering around corners. In my situation, this is a positive thing, and I think anyone that has an objective to use their Subaru for performance auto sport scenarios, this is a good thing to pick up. A cheap upgrade, that works, for a really great price.

The product is high quality and works very well. I was having issues with my 5MT Impreza bucking back and forth at low speeds in first and second gear due to the rear subframe bushings being old and in need of replacing. I bought these as a cheaper alternative and couldn't be happier.The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the lack of instructions. The install is simple and straight forward, but ANY part should come with basic instructions.Make sure you clean the threads in the frame very well before installing these. They'll be full of crudd.

Definitely the best $35 suspension upgrade you can do. My 04 Forester XT is sitting on 07 STi springs and 04 WRX struts, these bolts were the missing link to planting this car. The car used to feel lofty in the rear around corners and you could feel a big shift and roll, now that is all gone.

These subframe lockdown bolts worked perfectly on my 07 WRX. The stiffen up the rear end of my car make it feel connected on the road.
