I have not seen the quality issues some others mention. There is no extra plastic from the molding process. When I tighten these appropriately, for example with pliers holding the nut but turning the standoff finger tight, they have not stripped yet. I am using these to hold three corners of a TFT LCD above an Arduino shield. The height needs to match the headers near the 4th corner.I just wish that I could find a way to order more of just the sizes I use most (especially 11 mm male-female).

Generous numbers of Nylon standoffs and Nylon screws in a variety of lengths are a Godsend for my Raspberry Pi builds!I've read (but not confirmed experimentally) that metal standoffs near the WiFi chip in the 3B, 3B+ or 4B can affect WiFi signal strength; Nylon standoffs avoid any such risk.Being able to trim screws with a pair of scissors instead of a Dremel tool is another big advantage of Nylon.Last but not least, when I have to combine multiple standoffs to achieve longer lengths, I can twist a little more to align the faces of two Nylon standoffs for an aesthetically pleasing result, whereas with metal standoffs, if the faces of two standoffs don't happen to align, there's nothing I can do.

Neat little kit with assortment of nylon spacers for DIY things. I used it first for a Pi Zero / HiFi Berry kit. I bought this kit because it cost about the same as buying four a bag of 4 spacers online. Now I have spare parts.They are nylon so be careful not to cross-thread the nuts during project assembly!

This is a cheap way to get non-metallic standoffs for the Raspberry Pi, but there are two issues:1. Many of the screws and standoffs are poorly molded and have the holes covered or significant chads that prevent them from threading properly. This has lead to much frustration trying to assemble the standoffs.2. For connecting boards that interface with the Raspberry Pi 40 pin GPIO header, the 11mm standoff is really the only useful size, and there aren’t many in this kit. In some cases, I’ve also found that some hats for the Pi Zero need about a 9mm standoff underneath them for stability, but that size is not in this kit (10mm is too tall; 8mm is short enough that the hat can still wobble on the header).

I purchased this nylon standoff kit for a new Raspberry Pi car project. The first thing I noticed about this kit was the inconsistent thread tolerances. Some pieces were easy to screw into other pieces, while others were basically impossible without risking shearing the threaded post. In some cases, simply replacing one standoff with another resolved the issue, but some of the parts were simply unusable due to the thread issues. Next time, I may steer clear of nylon parts and just purchase good quality brass standoff components.

I bought this set to determine what standoffs I'd need for a project.I had a few defective parts: one standoff had the hole blocked (thus unusable), and a thread had deformed on a male thread. This deformation can, on those parts, make connection difficult or impossible, but as I said, it was VERY limited.For this reason, I give it 4 start (not perfect), but 5 stars for value.
