So you want to turn Hollow Forms?
Firstly I'll declare that I know the author, but promise that this fact doesn't colour my review.Hollowforms are difficult to turn; technically difficult, physically difficult, and on the learning curve they can be emotionally draining! So, you want to learn how? Well this is the ideal starting point for you. Buy it, read it, and if you can be patient, read it again before you begin. Having absorbed as much as you can the book then serves as an aide memoir whilst working. The book is written to allow a newcomer to HFs to begin from a safe and firm foundation, and as such is invaluable.Having mastered the detailed techniques you should be set to develop your own ideas and forms from a position of confidence and certainty...well, we certain as you can be with these difficult forms. As a woodturning tutor I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to one of my students.

Title is a little misleading
Provides some interesting techniques that are useful but are less about hollowing. Most of the procedures described focus on cutting the vessel in half, hollowing, and then reattaching the two parts. This is an interesting approach but it is a little misleading. I had hoped for more of a discussion about actually hollowing.
