No, it should not. It simply helps to keep your darks from fading with washes. Great product.

Does it help darken blue jeans? What if they are two-toned faded on purpose?

I does not darken the colors it just keeps them from fading as quickly as when you use regular detergent.

Can this be used on HE washers?

There are instructions for HE washers on the back of the bottle
