Prostick 4 Foot Fiberglass 1000 Watt Black CB Radio Antenna with Heavy Duty Black Stainless Steel Spring.

These Prostick 4 foot fiberglass antennae are just ad good or maybe better than the other *stick brand and they are definitely more economical. I'm installing 2 of these on the front fenders of my 2018 Ford F150 XLT in a co-phased setup on a Bearcat 980 SSB radio. I ordered this particular pair because they came with BLACK stainless steel heavy duty spring. This will compliment the subtle subdued appearance of my trim package. The only thing I consider a negative, is the red tip cap. It's not a deal breaker but I will be changing them out with black ones. I like the tunable tips for field adjustment of the VSWR. This is a good feature that eliminates the possibility of trimming an antenna too much when tuning the antenna to the transceiver. These antennae have been used mainly by OTR truckers, and are usually mounted on the mirrors of their trucks. It has been many years since I was an active user of two-way radios but some things are not forgotten. My 40 plus years of experience in electronics has taught me to rely on proven techniques and technology. These antennae fit within those parameters. These are easy to install, very well tuned out of the box, very well constructed, and overall a good investment. The massive number of these in use tells me they are reliable, durable, and easy to maintain. I have zero doubts about these antennae.

Worked great on my tractor truck the only thing hitting a tree limb they will break. I thought they be a little more flexible even hook to a spring. Just for FYI I didn’t hit a limb on a sharp curve and nic the limb . 💩

Very heavy-duty antenna. Just make sure you are ready for the wind noise it could create being 4 ft tall at 75 miles per hour. Mounted mine on a bracket on the top of my 2023 Ford F250 and it has great range and looks nice.

The Prostick works great and was easy to install.

Spring doesn't spring. I can't tell if it has a solid core and it just looks like a spring, or if maybe it is painted together, but it does not work as a spring. The listing falsely advertises this as a spring. Antenna feels lightweight, even for fiberglass. Seller chose not to ship this item until late in the day on the day it was supposed to arrive. Package will be 7 days late for this reason. I will not purchase from this seller again. I will return the item at my next convenience.
