Needs a little more commonsense
The flapper seems to have stopped my toilet from leaking. The manufacturer could have put a little more thought into this though. The middle ring needs to be cut off , which is frustrating. Trying to cut rubber with a knife isn't fun. Other flappers let you unhook the ring. I also needed to cutoff the plastic surrounding the hook, which was one more thing I had to do and it wasn't the easiest plastic to cut. The hook itself doesn't clip fully like other flapper hooks, so I'm worried it might slip off. The manufacturer really should have put a little more thought into this. It should take 30 seconds to change a flapper, not several minutes of sawing rubber with a knife. Sure, it only took a few minutes to install--it's not the worst product, but they should have made this really easy to install and failed.

Super, long lasting flapper!
We still own a couple of toilets that use this type of flapper. The flapper was easy to install, and does last a long time, as the one that we had to replace had been in use many years! It was the exact same flapper as the one that we ordered!

works like its supposed to
i have a weird "made in U.A.E" toilet - can't even find the name of it anywhere on the thing. I got this because of a multiple flushing issue i was having hoping it would fix it. This flapper in and of itself did not fix the multi-flush issue, but did help me determine that it was not a bad flapper problem. This flapper installed easily - yes you have to cut out the circle part for some toilets, but really that is not difficult, just use a pair of scissors or utility knife - not sure how some reviewers could see this as a negative. For the first day the seal wasn't perfect and some water was lost and refilled periodically. After a day of use, it settled in there properly and the seal is fine now.

These went 2 for 3 for my toilets.
I have an old house and three toilets. All were leaking slowly through the flapper. I bought three of these. The problem was fixed in two of my toilets, but the third made the problem worse. It leaks so much that the toilet re-fills once every three minutes. I don't know if it's the flapper's problem, but I suspect that it doesn't match the ring. Take from that what you will.

Works with Sterling 1.6GPF (Sterling is a Kohler Company)
As seen in another review, it does not fit on some Kohler models. But, for what it is worth, it fit perfectly on my Sterling 1.6GPF model (my house is about 10 year old). It took a little time (by the end of the day) to "settle in," but it stops the water as expected (no leaking). 5 stars as it works as expected on this particluar toilet.

Does not work well with my Sterling 1.6gpf toilet
The water leak into the tank is fixed when I replaced old flapper with this one. However, the flush is not good - flapper pulls down and closes the opening, unless you continue to push down on the trip lever.

Simple, effective, cheap
Easy to cut the back part to fit in the back of the toilet. Hooks right into the flush lever and fits perfectly into the drain hole. (Those are all technical terms.) Worth the cheap price.

works ok, but comes back down often before flush ...
works ok, but comes back down often before flush is done, which is exactly the problem i was trying to solve with a new one. Tried to adjust it every which way, but still a problem.
