what is the easy way to plant ,i see a plug tool but i think it is design for transplanting . and a drill attachment auger ?

I just used my hand trowel to make a hole big enough for the zoysia plug. It was very easy. Make sure you press them in firmly (I just stepped on mine). Water.

Question to the seller - What variety of Zoysia is this?

Zenith. I asked the seller directly after purchasing and the answer was that they only grow Zenith zoysia - as their associated website also states.

Is the Zenith or Empire variety of Zoysia grass?

the plugs arrived in plastic tray with individual plugs as part of larger tray. after watering for 21 days,the leaves of grass are somewhat larger than Meyer zoysia but have all the similarities to the shape,structure of previous zoysia I have ordered. this variety seems to be the highest quality, and the size of plug and thickness of dirt part of the plug is the largest. probably will order more

I live in Western Mass., when is the best time to put them in?

This is a beautiful grass in the summer but stops growing and turns a beige/brownish color in fall and winter. It will turn green again and start to grow again as weather warms up. A good time to plant it is when weather is warm as in spring. the plugs work well and will soon fill in if planted six inches apart all way round. When first plant keep it watered and you may want to use weed and feed keep from trying to take it over while it is young and vulnerable. The plugs I ordered from the seller on Amazon arrived in absolutely perfect condition, nice, healthy and green.
