This is perfect, but REQUIRES the X1002 bottom Hat to work
This thing works perfectly with all holes aligned and the screws are the correct size. The case is very sturdy as well. I appreciate the screw design. the Gauge/thickness of the metal is good as well. I am writing this review because I think the other reviews were missing the obvious. That this is a case specifically designed for geekworm X1002 bottom Hat. You also need a lower power m.2, but this is known to anyone looking at specification before you buy something. The m.2 you use with a r pi5 doesn't need a cooler, let alone one that won't fit in this case. You CAN have an m.2 heatsink, but not a large one. If you get the bottom hat, then everything falls into place. Geekworm really should have included some better pictures and noted that the x1002 is required in the description.

Excellent PIece of Kit
The case, the X1002 NVME bottom and official Pi5 cooler all fit with room to spare. There is even a gap between the Pi GPIO and side wall to fix the Pi5 battery. There may even be root to add a PoE HAT too but I dont have one yet so that's speculation. The way the case opens makes the stack easy to fit. Gain a point for the provision of a slot for a 40 pin ribbon from the GPIO to exit. Points to Ponder - No stars lost. If you have the Pi now and are planning on adding the NVMe later, you need to provide your own spacers to make the case openings line up with the Pi5. Be aware of this before you buy. The cooling is a trade off. Without the case, the Pi working hard only ever runs the fan on the lowest setting, where my example is silent. With the case, and the extra airflow restrictions, the fan uses the next two settings up. That means that I can't use thin Pi5 to replace a fanless but ageing E35M1-I DELUXE media player. Well, maybe I can as there is headroom to change the fan breakpoints to let it run hotter and possibly silently. The CPU temperature does not go over 75C working hard. (Building Chromium.) 85C would be OK as long as it stays out of thermal throttling. That's a comparative test. In everyday use, its silent. Software building will normally be carried out elsewhere. Its faster and smaller than the E35M1-I DELUXE too. Long story short. The cooling is good enough.

Extremely easy to assemble
four phillips screws to attach the pi to the case, four phillips screws to attach the standoffs to the pi, and four phillips screws to attach the case lid to the case. Easy install. This case fits the rpi 5 with the official active cooler and the geekworm/suptronics 1002 nvme bottom perfectly. I've used many a raspberry pi case and this is by far the easiest assembly I've seen.
