Gripping
The sixth book in the Sebastian Clifford series and I loved it. I haven't read any of the rest of this series before, but will certainly be going back to the beginning and reading them all. Very well written and the story kept me gripped from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Great read
Wow. What a read! Sally always puts twust and turns in her books, but this one! Read it over 2 days, so hard to put down . Hope there is another book with Seb and Birdie and, of course, the newcomer. Highly recommend if you have read the other books.

Very enjoyable
A really good book which I read in one day. I just had to know what was going to happen next, though admittedly I would have been shocked and disappointed if the outcome had been any different.

Another challenge for our detecting duo
I think of this detective as such an elegant character moving in different circles to most other English detective novels showing that murder and mayhem doesn't care about which class you consider your self to be when it comes to the crunchSally writes with such passion for all her different characters and series novels the pride in her work shows through, it makes you wonder how she keeps all series desperate in her head like juggling so many balls at once, en excellent job she makes of it too

Sally Rigby always keeps my attention, and this book was no exception!
The working relationship between Birdie & Seb involves a lot of give and take from both parties. They care about each other as professionals & as friends. Pieces of information keeps on coming in their developing stories. I love these characters & enjoy following them. They keep me glued to the ongoing story!

Well worth the read
Rigby is on top of her game with this one. With new characters coming in, and with likely more of their storylines to be fleshed out in whatever is upcoming, it gives nothing but further reasons to joyfully anticipate her next installment. May there be many more!

Fantastic!
Seb and Birdie are so much fun! They're well-matched as partners and both clever in their own ways. The balance of suspense and humor are perfect! This was an emotional story, on several levels, brilliantly written! Well done!

No Great Crime Mystery Here
I kept waiting for the murder, or the big crime. There isn't one. Not really. And then the whole time I was reading this I had the feeling I had read it before. But of course I didn't read this specific book before, it's just that this story has been done and done again. I've enjoyed the others in this series, but this was a real bore. I can't believe this author wrote it. So disappointing as I am not interested in reading a soap opera plot, but a crime mystery!
