I have always been a liquid makeup person and now 70 and decided to give it a try. I absolutely love this product. I like the way it looks and feels on my face.

This is nice makeup, and Laura Geller offers a 30-day trial period, which is fantastic. My aunt applied it with the Laura Geller angled brush, which makes application so easy and even. The back of the compact shows you how to contour your face with this makeup kit. The colors are soft and very suitable for mature skin. As you grow older, your skin tone changes, and the bright vivid colors you could wear as a younger woman look too hard. My aunt selected the palette for Fair skin.She loved the three eye shadows--they made her eyes stand out and look larger. The colors were softer and perfect for more mature skin. The blush was also very pretty, yet a soft and subtle shade which looked very natural. The coverage is much lighter than regular makeup, but again, heavy makeup is aging on mature women. This kit is a great deal because you get eye shadows, blush and contouring powders all in one compact.Where it failed my aunt was the instability of the color and how it dried out her skin. She used Laura's Clear Spackle Primer on clean skin and the Baked Powder in Fair. Then she added the eye shadows, blush and contouring.The brown contouring bronzer turned orange on her skin after about 15 minutes. The light contouring powder worked great. She wore the makeup with the Baked Foundation in Fair for a few hours and something strange happened. The evenness of the color changed due to her body chemistry. Her face looked blotchy as if she had Vitiligo (see photo). It looked as if the contouring powders and blush had separated. She had never experienced this before with powder makeup. She tried using this makeup with and without the Spackle Primer, but had the same result. It also dried out her skin, settling into her large pores and acne scars, making them more pronounced. Yet the worse part was how the colors changed to an uneven, patchy mess on her face.We were grateful for Laura's generous return policy, because this makeup did not work for my aunt. Returning it was very easy here on Amazon. I think Laura Geller realizes that sometimes her makeup reacts on certain people, causing the colors to change or become blotchy, so it is very smart of her to offer the 30-day trial period. My aunt feels this makeup works best on people who have smooth, flawless complexions with no large pores or scars. Laura Geller does offer her Double Take Baked Full Coverage foundation, but because of the color instability, my aunt felt it best to find another brand.

Very easy to use and fast. Like that part a lot.

Was not impressed at all with this product- made me look like I had jaundice. It has a gold shiny appearance. Not natural at all and nothing like my skin.

I love this makeup for mature women. It truly goes on with ease and perfection.
