The PatrolEyes IRIS body worn camera has excellent HD video quality, a high frame rate for encounters where swift movement is necessary, and an impressive battery life. Upon playback, in some instances, the audio track appears to get delayed behind the actual video, and we're unsure what causes that; it occurs on the longer recordings. The clip the BWC comes with is quite small, and not very sturdy by itself as it has insufficient grips to secure itself to our uniform shirt; that being said, a magnetic mount was necessary to overcome this (see picture). Aside from these details, the decision to purchase came down to overall features and price; the batteries being replaceable was the major selling point.
