Don’t buy
Well, I bought it early, but just gave it to my granddaughter for her birthday. It worked about five hours. I strongly do not recommend. I would like to give it zero stars. My little granddaughter was so excited just to be let down in a few hours. And yes, it was fully charged.

Lots of fun before your child gets an actual drone
This flying unicorn toy is absolutely magical and so much fun to play with! The remote control is easy to use, making it simple to guide the unicorn as it flies smoothly through the air. The design is colorful and adorable, and the toy feels well made and durable. Kids love how it responds quickly to the remote and how it hovers and glides without crashing easily. It’s great for indoor play with supervision and even more fun outside on calm days. Overall, this flying unicorn toy is a fantastic gift that brings excitement, imagination, and lots of smiles.

Cotton candy-colored chaos
This has been an absolute blast to play with, it looks innocent but creates chaos everywhere it goes... the battery lasts about 6 minutes per charge. Honestly, that's all my house can take at any given time, because it's flying every which way, and it is difficult to tell if the remote or hand gestures are working most of the time. At this price point I didn't expect a high quality drone with a bunch of battery power. I did expect the remote to work enough for me to be able to tell it worked, but the fun we got from this was not at all related to it flying with intention. It's lack of direction was precisely what made it fun! I expected it to break on it's first flight. It feels like it will break easily, and we have kids of all ages running around. By the time it finally did give up the ghost, I was ready for it, hoping for it, possibly even praying for it. I gotta say, it survived at least 20 flights, mostly indoors, and it must have a beast of a moter because it went all over the place and hit basically everything in its path. To be fair, it did seem like it sometimes responded to the remote, and it's possible we had some unknown interference. We have quite a few rc cars, and the cheaper ones will work inconsistently too. I actually would buy this in the future. If your expectations are low enough to match the low price, it is excellent for a few minutes of household solidarity in the hilarity- it's impossible not to laugh when this bright pink unicorn comes plowing it's way through the air, straight at your head, bobbing around full of drunken enthusiasm. I'll pay a few bucks for some solid laugh time, that's a nice value to me. We really enjoyed it while it lasted. The dogs in the house did not.

Don’t bother trying
Despite some reviews, I thought it would be fun for my 7 year old nieces. It looked cool! I gave it a go. These things are out of control lol. You cannot steer them (even with your hand “as suggested”). They have a mind of their own, like possessed little unicorns, and it hurts when it runs into you lol. Needless to say, one of my nieces ended up being scared to try anymore after the first hit! Don’t bother!

Not Easy To Control
The flying unicorn toy looks accurate to the product photos and I've been perfect condition. It comes with an instruction manual, a charging cord and a remote. The remote controller only has two buttons and no joysticks. It's kind of hard to control. The instructions say to use it in a room that doesn't have much in it. That's definitely true because the flight pattern is a bit erratic and it's hard to get it to not crash into things. It's kind of fun, but I feel like it doesn't work that well. It makes noise, but it's not too loud. It lights up when it's in flight. I think it might be better for older kids because I think younger kids won't be able to understand how to use it. At the time of me making this review, the toy is selling for about $16 and the typical price is about $18. I don't really think it's worth it.

Incredibly Fun With VERY Close Supervision
We're actually really impressed by the ultrasonic sensor on the bottom of this unicorn. It really works! Here's how this drone worked out for us: It's really simple to operate. You just hold it at the back legs, turn it on, and wait a few seconds. The unicorn will take off, and once the sensor detects its height, it adjusts to a level about 3 feet off the ground (at least ours does). If you put your hand underneath it (like a foot or so under), the unicorn will respond by lifting upwards. Now, this is a flying drone so even though the blades are plastic, I'd be careful letting kids get too close to it while it is flying. The unicorn will kinda aimlessly float around without really zooming too quickly anywhere. It has some kind of torque sensor in the blades so if it crashes you have to reset it. It will automatically stop the blades if it encounters too much resistance. That's really good because it keeps the toy from tearing itself apart and works towards being safer around my kid. Battery life is good too, roughly comparable to drones of this size. Overall,we're actually really impressed by this toy so far. My 5 year old has been having a blast with it because it feels "magical" that she can put her hand underneath and make the drone lift up. If you or your child are too skittish to put your hand underneath at first, you can use the remote to make it lift or land. I'd actually recommend this toy because of that neat little "magic perk". Definitely give this toy a serious look. Recommended!
