Perfect replacement
Our old one was falling apart after many years of wear and tear - which goes to their credit since a lot of remotes seem to be made of paper these days. Got this one and they aren't kidding when they say it works immediately. Didn't even have to fumble with codes to link up the player or anything. Just unbox, aim at the bluray player then you're off to movie night.

Good value
Works exactly like it's supposed to. Other than not saying SONY there are a couple of differences between this copy and the OEM remote. The lettering is not as crisp and actually hard to read on a few buttons. The IR bulb sticks out noticeably farther. I guess this means you are less restricted by angle to the DVD player but the design recesses it in a molded area to protect it. So if you're not careful the bulb could get damaged. For the money it's a great deal. The plastic on the battery cover and the contacts seem a little bit less refined but it's perfectly functional.
