very unique LED (police car style gumball). the LEDs ,5 micro LEDs face outward to the sides giving great side visability. the top is faceted to defuse light up as well!there are 4 modes (fast rotate like firetruck, slow rotate like a jetliner on the tarmac, double strobe like aircraft red strobe, and a single strobe like a bicycle tail light.I would have given 5 stars but claiming "5 modes" when one is the "OFF" mode is lame. and also the price seems a bit high....2 for $10 would be a reasonable price-point. the LED comes with a typical RC servo 3 lead connetor,. you can plug this into its own channel to be operated by the RC transmitter, or you can use a Y-connector and use it inlen with other channels like flaps on aircraft. NOTE: the light seem to always default to 'fast rotate' and you'll need to cycle your transmitter switch to get the mode you want everytime you plug in.....meaning there is no setting to keep one single mode as default. no big deal though. i use mine on RC aircraft and they look VERY scale on the 1000mm plus size airframes(10mm LED is about the size/shape of a 9mm bullet). these would look awesome on RC trucks i bet too. P.S. the britness is perfect too not to ovewhelinly bright but not dim either....if your'e a high flyer.....these will certainly be visible by manned air-traffic.
