Great Feeling Driver!
Driver this nice - required proper evaluation, which I have tried but not sure if I succeeded. I rented a time slot at the local PGA superstore and their TrackMan booth to try to compare my current driver vs PXG 0311 10.5 degree Regular shaft driver. I used to be avid golfer but haven't played but 1/2 dozen rounds in the last 12-15 years (family and work got in the way). But recently got fitted for a new driver and irons. I used to hit a 9 degree TaylorMade Burner driver with Stiff shaft and irons with stiff shafts as well. But the computer analysis placed me with a 10.5 Regular shaft 55 grams TaylorMade Stealth II driver (and regular shafted irons). Thus this comparison is between very similar setups as PXG Black Ops is also regular shaft, 55 grams, 10.5 degree driver. Unfortunately my hitting session was very inconsistent with either driver and not the best comparison. But from some numbers I was able to gather that PXG slightly outperformed my current driver. Club head speeds were slightly higher, 2-3 mph. The spin rates were in the ballpark while carry and total distance were better by about 8-10 yards. To give it a better comparison, I took it to the local driving range and luckily was having little better day swinging... Couple of things stood out with this driver, three actually - well four to be exact. The sound is much much better. Not that it matters but it was nice to hear that "full" hit. The driver was more consistent/forgiving. My slices were not as bad. It also felt good at contact. It seemed that I could 'feel' that ball longer on the club face. I know, the ball is on the face for a fraction of the second. Hard to explain. But I really liked that about this driver. One minor negative is that the ball flight was higher at my "regular" tee height. I had to consciously tee it up slightly lower to get the medium to medium high ball flight vs a pop up. I may play with the adjustments a bit to see if that helps. The club does come with a wrench to do just that. In summary, this club is going in my bag for now. Of course, the proof will be on the course :)!

Get fitted!
Get fitted. Took two hours for the technician to find the right combination of shaft, length, club head weight, etc.. The result was amazing. The driver feels like an extension of my arms. Iโm hitting the ball 15 yards farther with consistent accuracy. The club is very forgiving and sounds great. Having this club has made golf more enjoyable. Itโs great.

The toast of my bag!
The PXG Black Ops driver has certainly exceeded expectations. Its visual appeal is evident upon first glance, evoking a sense of confidence as one stands over it. The acoustics upon impact with the ball resonate with a satisfying tone, characteristic of PXG's commitment to both forgiveness and performance. I found it to be an excellent fit. Equipped with a tool for loft and lie adjustments, though I admit my personal expertise and equipment are not yet sufficient to undertake such fine-tuning independently. Nevertheless, the club's balance and weight distribution are commendable, providing a marked improvement in distance compared to my previous driver of 15 years. Initially acquired as a gift, I couldn't resist adding it to my bag, recognizing its substantial upgrade over my current equipment. The PXG Black Ops driver boasts exceptional forgiveness on mis-hits, offering both accuracy and distance in equal measure. Its performance at the driving range showcased an additional 10 to 20 yards of distance compared to my previous driver, further affirming its prowess. As a player with a higher handicap, I value the forgiveness inherent in this driver, along with its potential for precise adjustments to suit individual swing preferences. Its construction exudes quality, complemented by a sleek aesthetic that undoubtedly adds to its appeal. Transitioning from my old driver, the PXG's lighter weight was immediately noticeable, contributing to improved control over the clubface. While my initial shots were met with admiration, subsequent attempts reinforced the driver's consistency and reliability. In conclusion, the PXG Black Ops driver has earned its place in my bag, signaling a welcome departure from outdated equipment. Its performance, combined with its aesthetics and ergonomic design, renders it a formidable choice for golf enthusiasts seeking an upgrade.

Very nice club
This club is very nice, they definitely designed a good looking driver. I have the 10.5 with a regular shaft, and it came with a pretty good grip. There are weights in the head, and a tool was included for adjustments. I took this to the range a couple times to see how I did with it, and I would say that it is good, but not enough for me to move over from what I have been using (Nike Dymo2). Things I noticed right away was that it was less forgiving then my old driver, and it is much quieter when making contact, my Nike one is super loud. I was getting around 230-250 yards with this PXG if it went straight, and about 250-270 with my Nike. I am a below average golfer, so this is coming from that perspective, if you are a good golfer you may get a very different experience with it. I did not mess with the weights at all, I really don't know enough to know how those work, which again may make a difference. I think this is a very nice driver, but maybe not as forgiving as others especially for a novice.
