It’s a little cumbersome BUT?
This product work. Connected to my shop vac and went to work. It captured all the items to be vacuumed and reduced the dust to 5%. I ended up purchasing two more for my other locations. Great idea great product!!!!!

This thing really works - it really does !
This Dustopper thing really works. It catches 99.9% of the sawdust produced my my miter saw. Virtually nothing gets passed on to the Shop Vac. Absolutely Amazing! It is kinda cumbersome and you have to make some type of holder or cabinet to mount the 5 gallon bucket, so it doesn't tip over - but since you are buying a dust collector - I assume you have woodworking equipment.I used a little duct tape to enhance the air collection of my DeWalt miter saw. There are YouTube videos on some ideas. That made a big improvement reducing the amount of sawdust left on my workbench.Update 11-3-22: I also bought one of those electronic devices that powers up the shop vac when the miter saw starts and then keeps the vacuum running for a few seconds after the saw stops. That sure beats bending over to start and stop the vacuum for every cut.

A good choice in cyclone dust collector
I'm allergic to sawdust. Back when I was tougher (IE dumber), I would spend a day ripping wood on the table saw with no face mask and no vacuum on the dust collection port. Then I'd spend the next day nursing a headache and swearing at myself and promising to wear the stupid mask next time.I've become pretty diligent about wearing the mask and hooking the shop vac up to the dust port on the saw. The only problem is that the sawdust really clogs the vacuum filter. I'd find myself blowing it out with compressed air way too often, and it wasn't easy to get it clean. At $15 apiece I can't afford to replace it every weekend, either.Long story short, this dust collector works... mostly. It traps almost all of the sawdust that my table saw produces and keeps it in a 5 gallon bucket that's easy to empty. It's snaps on and off easily and seals well.I do wish the hose was a little longer, and that it came with an additional 90 degree fitting to make the house routing a little neater, but these are small quibbles.A bigger concern for me is that it lets the really fine dust get through to the shop vac. I suspect that this dust is just too light to settle out of the airstream. The result is that the shop vac filter still plugs up. It takes a while longer, but that fine dust is a real pain to get out of there once it's packed in. It's still a win-- I still spend less time cleaning filters-- but the filter still plugs up faster than I would have thought.Suction power is also slightly reduced vs. not running a cyclone, but i think this is unavoidable. I can certainly live with it for most of what I do, and if I need that last bit of power I can bypass the cyclone by switching two hoses around. All in all I consider this a good addition to my table saw. It catches a LOT of sawdust at a very negligible cost in performance. I wish the fine dust would settle out a bit better (from what I've seen, some other designs are more efficient at filtering the fine dust out) but for the price this thing is a winner.

Really works great!
2nd update: I uploaded a pic to show how well this works. That's my 5 gallon bucket full of pine shavings from my jointer and planer. I am very pleased with the product!Update: after several months using this product I added a benchtop jointer and planer to my shop. The Dustopper works very well with both of these tools. I think this is a very good alternative to expensive dust collection systems. I easily attach to whatever tool I am using, and it works great!Original Review: So, after watching many youtube videos on how to make a diy collector I set about collecting all the parts necessary; but I soon found that for the same money I could get this pre-made collector, and I wouldn't have to do all the work. I'm glad I did. It works really well. I've used it with my bandsaw quite a bit. The seller got it to me faster than originally stated. If you have old vacuum hoses and such floating about, maybe the diy route makes sense, but if you don't, this product is a good value! Buy it!
