My grandson asked to buy him something with a key to hide things from he's brother, i seen this wooden box on Amazon it was just what I was looking for, I was really pleased with it bigger then I thought it would be well made come with lock and key and tissue paper inside was a note saying it was a retro looking box that added to the charm, my grandson loved it he's but marbles in coins and a few other things he collects well worth the price .

This is a nice way for me to store a few personal items in one place. It would be great for decoration, kids collections or treasure hunts etc. Very nice box.

Surprise memory storage box, sml lock inc. few sharp nails I couldn't bang in. Luckily for a 21st birthday gift and not a child.

Great little chest and I'm so glad i ignored the small amount of reviewers that weren't happy, For £25 you can't expect 1/2 inch thick oak or antique mahogany with top quality brass and leather, it is perfectly adequate and well constructed plywood stained with a nice reddish brown, the walls of the base and lid are 7mm thick (approx) the top and bottom are thinner but plenty strong enough unless your gonna fill it with Real Gold Sovereigns. I find it perfect for storing my vaping items I.e coils, pods, 10ml bottles of liquid etc etc, it will hold 50ml bottles but only in the middle of the chest where the lid is taller. Also it comes with a sweet little padlock + two keys but i wouldn't recommend keeping anything valuable in it for obvious reasons. Ideal for collections of small things that need keeping together.

Good build quality and great finish. Good patina. Just remember to remove one key and put it away in case you accidentely lock the keys away!!

I awaited delivery with bated breath, having read varied reviews. I'm a fussy cabinet maker, in the process of making a Honduras Mahogany treasure box for a friend, but I cannot get it ready in time, so I ordered this as a temporary standby, while I complete my own project. However, I was blown away by this product. Not the sturdiest, but magnificent, nevertheless, and easy to line with padded velvet, and to strengthen too if you are clumsy, careless and felt it necessary. With an engraved plate on the outside, it will be stunning. And the price!!!!! Who in their right mind could complain? Someone moaned about a wobbly base! Well, its so easy to stick 4 felt pads on the corners to take care of that, though I'll do something more exotic, though its not really necessary. Value for money? Amazing, I'd say. Thank you Mr Maker!!!!!

Bought as a Christmas present for our 5 year old grandson to have at his own home. This treasure chest is excellent, far better than our very inferior grandparent version. It wouldn’t look out of place on a real pirate ship. The size is perfect, the lid stays up safely, the clasp is a secure fit and the added decoration of studs, straps, etc. make this a really lovely, authentic looking treasure chest. We have filled it with charity shop jewellery, party rings, plastic gold coins and, because it’s Christmas, silver and gold chocolate coins. We can’t wait to see his face.
