Aluminium Chain Curtain 90 x 200cm Metal Door Fly Screens Insect Control Curtain for Doorways (Silver)

After a disappointing experience with a mesh/magnet curtain combination we decided to switch up to a more durable metal chain version. We are extremely happy with this one. I was slightly sceptical about the quality since it is almost half the price of some on other shopping sites. Don’t be put off that it isn’t a branded name; this curtain looks and feels professional. The aluminium colour gives a clean bright feel to the area. It is possibly slighter lighter weight than some commercial butcher style curtains due to the aluminium material but for our needs it is ideal. So far it does what it says and deters insects from coming through a doorway that is open most of the day. We paired it with some metal curtain “tie backs” in a silver colour when we need easier access and we couldn’t be more satisfied with the result.

Good item, it worked well for us. *see note* It keeps flying insects out (flies, bluebottles, wasps and bees) We can now leave our back door open and get a lovely cooling breeze through our house. Note:- I did not use the screws supplied to mount the curtain as I did not want to drill into the Upvc frame of our back door.Being an engineer I made 2 hooks from 5mm stainless steel bolts and drilled and tapped the steel lintel above the door.

Good quality curtain which looks smart and like it will last, however the method for mounting it, according to the instructions, is pretty daft. I'm not sure if there should have been holes in the bar for the hooks to engage with, but there weren't in the unit I received. Without the holes, I can't see how it could be stable. Fortunately I had a piece of aluminium with just the right form to use as a 'hook' for the curtain bracket to hang from. It would be much better if something like this was provided. Should be noted that the curtain is heavy.

First class Easy to get in and out of the door. Really attractive and shiny.

Bought this as have a dog but wanted to be able to keep our patio doors open so she could come and go without having a house full of flies. Works really well and looks really nice in our kitchen. Really easy to put up, I didn’t use the hooks they came with just 4-5 small head screws did the trick. A little shorter than I needed but I have a few spare strands which I can remove off the track and add to the rest so easily adjustable too. Would recommend.

After reading all reviews on several products to stop flies entering the house, I decided this was probably going to be the best and most convenient product. Metal chains hang down well. Do not tangle. Not too noisy when entering in or out. Fitting was easy but decided to drill to fix to ceiling above door, as did not think the item would stay in place, this was simple enough. Length just right and is about 1cm above door closure. Well made product which is not too heavy and actually looks quite nice in the silver colour. When not in use we simply tie back

Easy to fix in doorway , easy to reduce height of chains .. the soft alloy links are simple to take off. We live in farmland so flys are a constant problem Like : can see through it so it lets the light in and assists air circulation, no problem for our dog , easy to walk through. The overall performance is an 8 out of 10 definitely an improvement in fly control , links can get slightly tangled at bottom off drop so leaves a small gap but this is temporary as the next time someone walks through this invariably straightens out but not always. Happy with purchase

Easy to fit, easy to shorten the length, looks great, good quality but most importantly does a great job - no flies on us 😂

Wir haben etwas gesucht, um in unserem teilüberdachten Atrium etwas Ruhe vor Fliegen und auch Blättern zu haben. Zuerst haben wir es mit den gängigen Terrassentürenvorhängen ( sieht man noch hinter dem Aluketten) versucht, wurden beim Durchgehen aber nie richtig glücklich. Das hat sich nun mit den Alukettenvorhängen zum Glück geändert. Installation war bei mir recht einfach, da ich sie aussen an der Dachrinne mit S-Haken einhängen konnte. Die Ketten sind mit der bloßen Hand zu kürzen und können Glied für Glied auseinander und auch wieder zusammengesetzt werden. Die Ketten sind sehr geschmeidig und haben keinerlei scharfe Kanten. Auch kommt es kaum und deutlich weniger zum Hängenbleiben oder verhädern bei den Aluketten, als bei den Bahnen mit Fliegenvorhanggewebe. Im Sonnenlicht glitzern sie unaufdringlich. Wir sind begeistert.

Ho voluto aspettare qualche giorno prima di scrivere questa recensione, giusto per farmi un’idea più chiara. La tenda è arrivata dopo circa 10 giorni dall’ordine: tutto ok, imballaggio perfetto, niente da dire. L’ho presa soprattutto per il prezzo, che era davvero molto più basso rispetto ad altre tende in alluminio che avevo visto in giro. Devo però dire una cosa: alcune parti, soprattutto quelle con le corde, mi sono sembrate un po’ più sottili rispetto a quelle delle tende più costose. Ma sinceramente, considerando che ho speso meno della metà rispetto al negozio vicino casa, direi che ci può stare. In generale, sono soddisfatto. La spedizione non è stata super veloce, la struttura è un po’ più leggera del previsto, ma nel complesso è un buon prodotto. Se proprio devo dare un voto, direi 4,5 su 5. Ora vediamo se regge bene nel tempo!
