Get This Phone!
I've had this phone for about a year and a half now and I love it so much. It was a little more last year when I bought it, but I think it is still an incredible deal for a phone that has everything you need. I paid about $180 for it. If you want a no frills phone that is still modern, this is it. It is functional and has a long lasting battery; it charges quickly and also withstands streaming media with ease. The sound quality is actually amazing-at home I rather play it out loud on its speakers bc it is such good quality. It can do everything my old iPhone can do, sometimes better. I will say, it's a cheaper android, so don't expect the camera to be super fancy. The screen quality is good, you see images by others as they are intended, but the camera doesn't do the best job of capturing photos well. It seems there is an auto edit feature to the camera that I have yet to figure out to turn off. It messes with the saturation and colors too much. That is the one thing I find myself missing sometimes, but I cannot ever imagine getting a phone contract again for a phone that is worth more than my rent just for it to be worthless in 2 years or less. It just makes me want to save up for a digital camera that is small with a good lens. I miss when tech was "a device that is just for one use and that's it". However, this phone does so much and it is pretty convenient. This phone does everything a smart phone needs to do. I've dropped this thing SO MANY times and it keeps being great! I like that they use a "faux leather" aka plastic backing bc why would anyone want a phone that can easily shatter?? It also makes it much lighter. The color I got says lilac, and I think in some lighting it looks lilac and in others it looks more pink-either way, it is so pretty! I use MintMobile as my wireless carrier and it was so easy to set up (I also recommend their service). I think this phone is pretty much compatible with all wireless carriers, but do your research like I did for Mint. I cannot stress more to folks to get this phone rather than chaining yourself to a contract for a phone that will be forgotten by its company in a few short years and having a crazy high phone bill.

Great little phone, great for the price!
Seems like a great phone. My daughter loves the gesture features for flashlight and camera. She can customize those to some degree. Pretty good camera. Not great at night but probably much better if you know how to adjust the settings. Battery seems good. She's a teenager and sometimes uses it most of the day on a weekend. Seems to hold up without needing to be charged when she's primarily texting or scrolling. She doesn't use it to game, so can't speak to battery there. Easy to find a good case and glass screen protector. No problems with call quality. Works fine with Mint Mobile physical sim even though it didn't show up as compatible phone type

I keep on buying the same model with different year, so they're doing something right!
I have bought Moto model Motorola for years, for myself and for my family. They have been dunked in water ( not recommended, as they're not waterproof), dropped, sat on, left out in the snow, and many other nefarious abuses. They tend to keep on ticking, turning on even when they really shouldn't have. Moto has minimal bloatware pre-installed, and is fairly easy to delete unwanted apps to clean out the hard drive. My biggest complaint with this brand is battery size. Normally I have to replace it because the battery just doesn't hold the charge anymore. This could also be because we recharge even when it's not empty, which might cause a barrier to keep it from being fully charged ever again. But at around $100, you can't beat the quality for that price point. It is easy to use, even for traditional non-smart phone individuals like my husband, and resilient in survival situations with teens. Our Moto phones tend to last around 3 years before buying a new one. 30 bucks per year? What great value is that! Some people are paying 100 per month for something that doesn't last 2 years. Thank you, I will stick with Moto for the ease of use, the quality, the durability, the value, and the comfort level of knowing that it is similar to past models. I bought this to replace an older moto, and in a few years, I'll buy another Moto to replace this one. Well worth the money, thank you, Motorola, for a budget phone that works just as good as the high-end ones.

Honest review after immediate set up
I purchased the lilac 8gb ram version and I am very happy with the sleek design. The front facing camera is not necessarily photography quality, but I am hopeful for the back camera. I was using a pixel 3a prior to this and the speed is wildly different. I haven't had any issues with data or crashing, and seems to be working good so far. I was definitely surprised by how big the phone is and it caught me off guard. It is a little overwhelming at first figuring out all of the features, but my main goals were speed, not crashing, and storage space. I have yet to experience call functionality so I cannot speak to that yet. The phone was unlocked and the sim transfer was easy. However, the transfer of my data was unable to be completed using a type c charger with both ends being type c. I recommend backing up everything from Google and trying to manually load it in if you have a lot of files/apps/etc. My only complaint is that I have had to restart my phone a total of approximately 12 times for all of the updates since 2024, since this is the 2024 model. This is very annoying. I wish it would just update all in one. However, this does show compatibility for long term use and support of device software - so I am hopeful I won't have to get a new device for several years. Overall, I would recommend this phone.

Amazing Android 14 Budget Phone That Looks and Feels Upper Mid range!! Lilac Looks Great!!
This is the best budget phone with Android 14 IMHO. I had the 2023 version and although this years Mediatek Dimensity 7020 is pretty much the same as last years Dimensity 930, the extra RAM (8 GB total) makes this device run smoother and faster. The screen is nice and bright. I love the battery life and the side fingerprint sensor and Face Unlock work a lot faster on the 2024 model. Thanks to Motorola for listening and adding NFC for easy Google pay. The Pale Lilac color is incredibly good looking and the vegan leather is so easy to hold and feels high end. I am also happy with the OIS camera, beyond solid. Glad I returned the Samsung Galaxy A15 5G for this. There were GPS and 5G signal issues and it was sooooo laggy while using my Amazon Flex Delivery App. This may be a mid-range phone but people think I paid double for it!!

Great phone, Great price
Awesome phone! Love the purple color, so pretty. worked perfectly with the SIM card I had. Excellent battery life, it will last the day if not two with pretty much constant use. dropped it a couple times already and its durable, for sure. I haven't set up the fingerprint reader so can speak about that yet. Defiantly a great price for a great phone. Well worth the price.

Great Value
I will start off by saying I have no interest in $1000+ cell phones - to me they are disposable devices that get replaced every few years. That said, this is the perfect phone for my purposes. The coverage (carrier dependent), audio, display quality and speed are perfect for my needs. I use the this as - wait for it - a phone - as well for texting and taking some pictures, mapping directions, etc. This is my 4th or 5th Motorola phone, and I have always been happy with the value proposition. Even through my former carrier the Motorola phones have always had much less bloatware than, say Samsung (ugh) which loads up their phones with all kinds of nonsense. When you buy it unlocked it comes with even less bloatware, and you can delete or disable most of it. It is much faster than my old phone, which one would expect, with 8MB of RAM, and 128MB of internal storage. There are several things I like about this phone, a couple being that it still has a headphone jack, and also it will take a micro SD card for additional storage. Both of these features are found on very few phones these days. There are 2 features that are unique to Motorola on the phones I have had, including this one, that are REALLY convenient. You can open the camera app just by twisting your wrist, and you can turn on the flashlight by a chopping motion - no screen to wake up or app to start up - brilliant really. Also, the battery life (5000ma) is phenomenal. I can use it all day, leave it overnight, and it will still have plenty of charge the next day. I really only charge it every other day. I will note that I turn off as many background processes as I can, don't watch movies on the phone (really?), and in general use it as a tool, not a brain-sucking toy (editorial comment :-). If you want a well functioning device and don't want to spend huge dollars this phone may be right for you.
