Its made from a light wood like balsa wood and they chewed it up before the hen laid her first egg. Also as they chewed it, sharp fasteners were exposed where the sides were joined together. If parakeets can destroy it, I would think Sun Conures would do the same only faster. I then bought a plastic breeder box. she laid 7 eggs right away. she couldn't chew the plastic at all so I was able to clean the box to use this Spring. **Q: What is the diameter of the enterance hole?** A: I ordered it weeks ago I still don’t have it. **Q: Came with 2 washers 2 wingnuts. What are they for?** A: Put the bolts through holes in the box with the threaded end facing out. Open one if the cage doors and place the box outside the cage with the bolts going through the cage bars into the cage. Put the washers on the bolts and then tighten the wing nuts over them until the box is secured to the side of the cage. The opening of the box should be accessible through the cage door opening. On my cage I had to remove the door because it has a spring closure to keep the door shut. **Q: Will the large size fit a cockatiel?** A: Maybe they changed the name of the box size, as this Seller now indicates the Large is smaller in size than the Medium, and now they have an XL.
