Nice grinder for the price (so far)
I got it yesterday evening and took it out to the garage this morning. I had a fully charged 4.0 AH Milwaukee M18 pack and put it on. I didn't put on the guard, because I seldom use one. First off, I think you're product description should state that the tool uses 4 1/2 inch discs with a 7/8" arbor hole. I looked all over and found that the shaft is 5/8", so I thought I would need to use one of the 4" discs I have with a 5/8" hole. I was pleased to find that the metal base plates have 7/8" round ridges to accommodate use of discs with 7/8" holes. I have several corded grinders and one my kid gave me uses 5/8", so I have both. I put on a 4 1/2 x 7/8" disc and made a small test cut in a piece of 20 gauge steel sheet metal. It works fine on a very short test cut. The sheet has some very light rust starting, so I put on the 4" wire wheel with a 5/8" hole that I have and used it to brush the rust off the sheet metal. I tried all 3 speeds. It worked well. Let me mention that the default speed is high, 8500. If you change to a slower speed, use the grinder, release the trigger and resume shortly, it will stay in the slower speed. As long as the light indicates the correct speed, it will resume at your chosen speed. If the light goes off, it will come on in high. There are 3 dashes that light up green. High is 3 dashes, medium 2 and low 1. The only thing I don't know is how it'll work on a long cut on thicker metal. How hot will it get? How long will the tool last? If it stops working, I'll update.

Very nice handy tool. Powerful
Great product right out of the box. Added a 60 grit flap disc and went right to work sharping my mower deck blades. Work better that i expected. I would like to try more of there products and review them as well

Mine is defective, caution on purchasing
So my tool didn't last a day. I purchased it for a fence project, needed to cut and grind some cement at the foundation so I could install posts for a fence against a concrete foundation slab. For the first area I needed it at, it worked. Seemed to have good power and it did the job. Once I cleared the excess concrete I dug a post hole and moved on. Starting at the second hole the grinder seemed to cut in and out. Neve fully quitting, just like a hiccup. I thought maybe it was my battery, but also thought it was too quick to die. But I got another battery and it persisted. Still, I got the second hole done. At the third hole....it just flat would die in the middle of cutting with a diamond blade or grinding with a grinding cup. If I put the tool down and then tried again, it would work for a bit then die. So I tried another battery and same thing. Eventually, it got to the point that after quitting I couldn't even restart it. It wouldn't start. I have like 8 batteries in my Makita 18V arsenal, none changed the outcome. I thought maybe it was overheating, but even after letting it sit the same problems persisted. I had a 50-50 chance it would start, and then a 50-50 chance it woudl continue longer than 30 seconds - about as much time as it took me to get back into the hold was digging and find where I left off. Very frustrating. So I stopped using it, went to my local big-box tool store, and bought a corded Metabo grinder. I felt the Metabo was about the same weight, maybe a tiny bit more powerful, but most importantly, it didn't die on me once at all. Kept going with the same wheels and cups, no problems. So I am returning mine and cautioning you against buying. The tool itself, when it worked, was fine. Seemed well built. Decent balance. The safety ring/spark guard wasn't the best fitting but the guard worked. Seemed the corded replacement tool I bought from local big box store may have had a bit more power, but not enough to make a big difference since like I said, for the brief time this tool worked, it did its job fine. Just probably a defective trigger mechanism?

It works at a fraction of the cost
Basically it’s an unpronounceable Chinese name knockoff for use with Japanese made Makita batteries. Right out of the box, I do love the trigger style on/off control. The shroud mounting is minimal and could have been better. Seems to be built well but time will tell. I don’t intend on using this on regular basis. I purchased it for the random occasional uses. I have a corded Milwaukee angle grinder for the heavy work.

Everything looks and works perfectly
My makita 18v battery fits. Now I have 3 grinder. My battery grinder is my favorite. No more looking for plug in. Also it's light and powerful. The price was also a winner

Good for lite work
Seems like a good product although some of the screws were not tightened all the way, I don't use these tools to make my living it's good for my home shop were I do lite duty work. This is not a heavy duty tool but works good with the makita 18 volt 4 ah. Batteries plenty of power and the 3 speeds are handy great value for the money however if you need a grinder for continuous all day use this is NOT the tool its definitely lite duty. Its definitely a throw away tool when the return window is over there is no manufacturer or. Supplier on the box or instructions.

Works great.
It uses M18 batteries has 3 selectable speeds and an easy to use paddle style button not the typical lock on style. A power gauge as well, although no cutting or grinding discs are included. Lists top rpm @ 8500 haven't compared it to name brand yet. Theirs tops out about the same I believe. It seems to cut fine just a little slower then corded models which is expected.
