Amazing!
What an awesome book. It’s very thorough and there’s great info about every astrological pairing. I’m obsessed with looking up the different combos for all the mamas I know. 10/10 would recommend this book

Accurate ... until the ridiculous veiled sexism.
I'm raising an Aries child who is biologically a "girl" and as I'm reading the section for Aries children, I found myself nodding along and laughing out loud. So much accuracy! The AstroTwins outdid themselves with their perceptiveness in how the signs manifest in children. I was loving it.... until I got to the section titled "The Aries Boy."My heart immediately sunk at the title. I knew what was coming and I was not wrong. The "boy" section was all about how Aries boys are strong and competitive and aggressive and should channel their energy into sports and martial arts. "Your Aries might be a brawny lad . . . Aries can be surprisingly strong and physically daring . . . There's an action hero in every Aries boy . . . hello, future trial lawyer . . . Aries boys excel at strategy games." Need I go on?The "girl" section, on the other hand? And I quote, "All hail the diva!" Really, AstroTwins? This was published in 2014, so there is no excuse for sexism. While in the girl's section they do say feminist things like "don't try to force her to sit down and be a 'nice girl' . . . needs big dreams to pursue . . . a good litmus test for parents of Aries girls is to ask yourself, if she were a boy would I be praising her instead of chastising her for this?" they lean far too heavily on physical aggression, machoness, and ladies man stereotypes in the section on boys (sexualizing small children, btw, as I'm sure many readers of this book are parents of small children: "charming the ladies at hello . . . typically has a posse of little girls swarming around him on the playground"). In addition, they lean heavily on more 'acceptable' "girl" ambitions and qualities like "superstardom," "first female president," "alpha female," et cetera, mentioning sports a mere two very, very brief times ("whether she's an all-star athlete or a pint-size pageant queen . . . there's no better class president, team captain, or BFF"). What I will give them is that they put a focus on feelings in both sections. My daughter fits both the "boys" description and the "girls" description. Does that make her an outlier? Or just...a child?I only docked one star for this because if you just ignore all the gender bias in these two sub-sections, there is still plenty of very useful information in this book. I will be continuing to use it to inform my understanding of my Aries child, since up until these subsections, I was amazed at the accuracy of it.However, I am deeply disappointed that the AstroTwins fell into the trap of gender bias and veiled sexism. They could simply have combined the "boys" and "girls" section and titled it "the Aries Child." It would not have been particularly difficult to do, and I'm surprised that no one caught this in the editing phase. If they had written this book 30 years ago, I may have just ignored the sexism and not thought to comment on it. But since the 90s, society has taken great strides in the understanding of gender constructs and the harm they wreak on mental health and interpersonal relationships (of children AND adults), and for a book written in 2014, I expected more inclusivity.---Update: The "mom signs" was a lot better (though I still cringe at the "if you have a girl/boy" parts) and I enjoyed the mother-and-child matches as well. Thus far it's very accurate about me (Gemini) and my daughter's (Aries) relationship.

Great Gift for Expectant Mothers!
Great book! I received a copy when I had my daughter. I have since given several copies as gifts to new Moms. Gives accurate insight to your child's personality and their talents and gifts as well as the interaction between mother & child.

Are you in my house?!
I only recently discovered The AstroTwins, and found this book the same day. I had no idea it was a new release, and bought it because I was interested in their view of my kiddos and how we interact. This book nailed us! I'm a Cancer/Leo cusp, and my kiddos are Libra and Pisces. Reading the sections on their personalities was like reading a mini-bio about them. My oldest is a 9-year-old girl and heading into the tumultuous pre-teen years - it was great to see so many traits that she actually had as a toddler and be able to see how I need to handle the emotional roller coaster we're about to board. My youngest is 3 and...well, he's 3. I feel like the AstroTwins just gave me a manual to his mood swings, clinginess, and preschool attitude. What I love the most about this book is that, unexpectedly, I find myself reading chapters relating to adults in my life and thinking 'So THAT is why they do that!'. Example: My ex-husband, who is still a good friend of mine, is a Leo. We have a 13 year history going back to our teen years. Reading the Leo traits, I found myself giggling and remembering little fights, good memories, or situations we were in that fit the descriptions perfectly. I am currently dating a Pisces, and could see many of his little traits and quirks in the Pisces section, as well.I've recommended this book to all of the moms I know, as well as a few people who loved the 'How to Get Along...' guide from the AstroTwins. This is very much an expanded version of that book, but with a focus on children and parenting. It's great!

It's ok, I guess
I wanna say that I wanted to LOVE this book. It's actually really good and accurate. However, there is one tiny... mistake (?) and it is the way it tells you how to find what sign you have in your fourth house... You do not find that by counting 4 signs after your sun sign (the zodiac sign we all know it's ours because we were born on certain date). You need to get your natal chart (you can get it in astro.com for free) and then you will see what sign you have in your 4th house.I am a Sagittarius mom, and according to this book, my 4th house should be ruled by Pisces, but that is wrong, because the 4th house is ruled by Gemini (and grades 0 and 1 of Cancer) according to my natal chart. I'm thinking that maybe they did it like that out of making things simple for people who have no astrology knowledge... and also to make it all simply as well because... truth be told, each sign could have 12 different 4th house combinations... that would be a never-ending book, however way more accurate possible.

Must have book !
I have been a huge fan of the Astro Twins and have been using Astrostyle for years! I rented when they released this book and I was so young at the time children were the furthest thing from my mind, but I was always intrigued. Now that I just turned 30 and am expecting my first baby (a Virgo or Leo boy we’ll see 😉) I couldn’t wait to order this book and finally get to put it to use! So excited the book is really good quality I love the textured front and back cover, and love that it has a section mom sign with baby’s sign !

Great service
The shipping was fast. It was a gift. I did discover a cut in the back cover. Probably from when the book of books was open. Otherwise it was as expected!
