The Prince & the Coyote Hardcover – October 10, 2023

Colorful, rich, and vibrant writing makes me feel like I'm actually on the mountain side or in the cities with our protagonist. Of whom I've grown very fond of. Despite being a book, I fins myself thinking of Acolmiztli's journeys and his beautiful poetry that accompanies.I remember having to set the book down and weeping at several points in the book. It's so beautifully written.

"The Prince and the Coyote" is an amazing book and the Pura Belpré honor is well deserved! David Bowles makes Nezahualcoyotl come alive. It is history and mythology, it is adventure, it is romance and heroes. The poetry, lyricism and art are stunning! The maps, family trees, and additional chapter notes are so useful. I kept turning to them. I totally recommend immersing yourself in this beautiful book.
