Not much shedding. I play in my hair a lot so a little is common for me. I got the 18 inch. True length. Very full. It doesn't hold my curls with the irons well but it holds curls from flexy rods very beautifully. (If u rod it after washing it be sure to dry it almost a little passed damp) I accidentally put rods in while wet and it was still wet 3 days later. Lol. I'll be buying much more from this company. As others have said, yes, it is a tad small for me but I've been able to work with it.
