Two issues: the holes drilled in these often have burrs that catch in the line. I have the MSR guy lines that these rings are modelled after and I rigged them just like those were. Initially, they held tight, but in a little wind, the guylines started to loosen. I just couldn't get them to hold tight enough. I ended up tossing these metal parts and just tying a taut-line hitch. Normally hitches have 2 loops on one side, but with slippery Zing-It, try using three.
