I ordered this cat art project for my 9 year old granddaughter. It meet her 3 favorite things to do. 1 read books before falling asleep at night. 2 she loves to do art projects with me. 3 she loves cats. I couldn’t go wrong with this cute cat lantern. Right, creative and so functional. Super for enough light to read time she closes her eye to sleep.

We love painting this as an afternoon activity. The night light is cute and gives off a good amount of light. The paints were just okay - but to be expected for the price. Worth cost!

Smaller than we thought but I hadn’t checked the size. With the first coat of paint it looks kinda streaky, I’m hoping that with a second coat it will look more smooth. That said, they are cute and fun to paint. They are a tough plastic so not easy to break. It’s a fun kit and a fun activity and even if you don’t paint them they are cute. Worth the money, would totally buy again.

This was a hit with my soon-to-be 8 yo granddaughter! We shared in the experience of her painting it. A wonderful experience I recommend. She painted it a light blue since some reviewers mentioned a dark color or double coats of paint could restrict the amount of light emitted from the bear. The paints were too thick so we added a little water and that worked great. I definitely recommend this project. Yes, the bear is only 3” tall but that didn’t seem to bother my granddaughter.

I got these for my 10 yr old granddaughter to paint. She loved them. She insisted both of us paint one. The paint is acrylic. Some of the paint we got was a little thick and didn't seem fresh. BUT I am an artist so I had plenty of acrylic paint in my house. We used some of the paint from the kit and some of my supply. My granddaughter and I had a lot of fun painting them. It does come with batteries already installed. The button kind. There is a little piece of plastic stopping the batteries from lighting up until your ready. You just pull it out and turn on. The light was just the right amount. They light up really well. My granddaughter was very happy with the results. So was I. I highly recommend this kit. I am going to purchase more of them and the others for the rest of my grandchildren to try.

It is cute and a great.little addition to any youngsters night table. The fun of coloring your own makes it personal.

I got the 2 cat set to do with my daughter. She chose laying down cat and I took the upright one. Took us a while to decide how to paint them, but once we did we got started and it was fun because we like to paint. The paints come with a lot of colors. But they're pretty dry, so needed to be mixed with water and then clumps worked out before using. The paints stick nicely to the base but require multiple coats to really cover the white base. Our biggest disappointment came when she decided to see what they looked like with the light turned ON! Shock, horror, sadness.. after all our work they look TERRIBLE as nightlight! The light is a good brightness if you don't care what it actually looks like though. That's why these only got 3 stars from me.

Grandchildren loved painting, light up, make great night light.

This is such a cute lamp! I love the small sized bear a lot, I am glad it wasn’t as big as I first thought! (It is about 4” x 3”. My granddaughters all seem to enjoy doing crafts with me, and I love to engage them with things like this. So, she enjoys doing the craft, and then also gets the benefit of hours of use of this little lamp in her room. It really is a hit in more than one way. Plus, I had the thrill of time with her doing the painting.The lamp is hard plastic that is easily painted. (And if necessary, it can be painted again at a later time!)The kit includes different colours, which then can also be mixed to make even more colours, and there are 2 sizes of brushes, a wide and a small one to paint tiny details.I recommend this item and this experience!

A fun activity, everything (paint, brushes, the sheep, etc) is included! The paint washes up/off things easily, and there are a variety of colours included. You can get as creative as you want, or just go "traditional", it's entirely up to you. A great rainy day activity, or for a sleepover to keep kids occupied. Or, even for adults! 5/5

A very good activity for the kids to keep them away from electronic devices. Kids loved painting this and was surprised that it actually is a night light. Came with everything you need to paint and design your Dino Lamp. Overall was very happy with the item and will recommend for kids to enhance their artistic side.

I love the puppy design, and there are others in the series.With a complete project kit included, which includes a fine and wider brush, mixing palette, twelve (12) different colours, accent bling, and the puppy shaped lamp. This is perfect for an afternoon creative project, and there is enough paint and supplies to get the lamp finished with extra paint to spare.The puppy lamp is powered by button batteries and it emits a warm white colour. I would have preferred this to be rechargeable, or powered by a more readily available battery . Changing the batteries will require another order for the proper sized button batteries. Also, it you are working on this with children, those batteries are a choking hazard for kids, and pets, alike. So, a rechargeable solution would have been preferred.The paint does need to be applied in a uniform way. I found that if the paint was applied too thick, the light did not show through as well. The body of the lamp is more opaque than translucent, meaning the light does not illuminate through the lamp, making the areas with a thicker layer of paint with not be as vibrant when viewing in the dark.All in all, this is are really cool gift idea for the puppy lover in your life. They are able to decorate the puppy any way they choose. I think this style of painted lamp project would be really suitable for older adults, and it would be an activity that can be completed by a family. The end result is as good as you make it. The small puppy shaped lamp would be excellent as a night light, or a statuette in a washroom, or even a Livingroom. I would order this set again, perhaps in a different style, if available. I would order these as a gift, or as a project to be completed in a group. Very fun and a decent value for a customizable lamp.
