The threads stripped as I was mounting the sight. Now I have to buy some loctight to ensure it stays. If you’re in the market for an iron sight spend a little more money on a better product.

I put this on an air rifle that isn't really the most accurate thing in the world. It was more or less an aesthetic I was chasing which ended up not meshing well with my setup. There is no reason this can't go on a modern rifle for maybe co-witness sight or otherwise. It's pretty neat that it mimics the old style of the A2 rifle. Unsure if i'm using that nomenclature correctly but either way, pretty sick.The raising and lowering gear works as you would expect. It screws on quite easily but perhaps use a dab of blue loctite to ensure it stays in place if the desired goal is to mount it on an actual rifle. It's all metal body makes it quite durable for those who put their rifles through hell and back. Would recommend.

I ordered this rear sight specifically for the ability to make easy and quick adjustments to the elevation, without touching the front sight post. I have many years of experience using a rear sight like this one so I feel I can pass a fair and accurate judgement on its performance.For use on a firearm, this sight does not function properly. This rear sight may not function properly on an Airsoft gun either.As most of the other reviews have already stated, there is too much play between the two main pieces that will allow this sight to give you a false zero OR lose the zero you have established. The windage knob is also very loose and it is very hard to feel or hear the amount of clicks from center to record your settings. The windage knob does work and the windage will keep through all shots without moving. The elevation knob also moves very loosely, which also makes it hard to feel or hear the clicks.The main problem with this rear sight is where the two main piece connect to each other. The top and smaller piece holds the rear sight aperture (the small hole you look through), and the bottom piece is the base that holds the elevation knob and screw. The connection between these two pieces is very loose and wobbly, which makes gaining or holding a true weapon zero very, very, difficult; almost impossible. The sloppy feeling knobs can be overlooked, but the loose connection between the base and the rear sight aperture is a major defect that greatly effects the performance of the weapon system. Because this sight can loose the zero with any touch to it, I also feel this would also be a major defect to an Airsoft system as well.I DO NOT recommend this rear sight until major improvements are made by the manufacture.

Heavy duty rear iron sight with all the bells and whistles for a great price. Easy to read and use knobs to adjust for wind and range, and different sight holes for aiming.Have used at the range several times and have had consistent accuracy after firing hundreds of rounds.
