My 40-year-old magnifying glass finally gave up the ghost so I had to replace it. Round magnifiers don't really fit my needs so I have remained with the rectangular variety. This magnifier is excellent! It fulfills all my needs. Not only does it magnify larger than my old one, it has lights! Three different light spectrums (spectra?) offer good lighting for differing circumstances. The real winner here, however, in my opinion, is the vendor; the user's manual is very explicit and the meticulous attention to detail -- maintenance tips, use of lights, warranty information, customer service information -- is so professional. The cover keeps the lens clean as well. I would trust any item this vendor has to offer.

Defective light. Installed 3 new AAA batteries as required. Turned light on to test and it worked. Turned light off. When I next turned on (one day later) the light didn't work. I tested the batteries and one was completely drained; the other two were at full capacity. I installed three fresh batteries and the same thing happened the next day. Seeing other reviews complaining of poor quality of lighting mechanism I opted to return instead of requesting a replacement.

I just received my LED Handheld Magnifier! I love it! The batteries were easy to install. The light is so bright and along with the magnification the small print easy to read. The light also has multiple settings making the brightness adjustable which is helpful depending on room light and the surface of the material you are reading. I also appreciate the protective pouch which helps to keep it dust free and clean. I use mine a lot in the kitchen to read recipes and ingredients. The pouch can also be used to wipe the lense. The material and information you receive from the manufacturer is well presented, professional and clear. I definitely recommend this product.

I didn't know how very very useful this product would be. I keep one near my computer and one in my living room so I can grab it when needed. It changes sizes and colors and brightness. I have glasses, but I don't need them or wear them all the time. But this product nearby helps me read directions when cooking, directions for medications, etc., all of which are written too little for the average person to see. Love 'em- get them- get two! I did!

It's ok, but find the side buttons are too easily activated, switching the device on when putting it away in the cloth case - have had drained batteries because of this. They are too easy to switch on - especially as the switches are on the side of the handle where you typically hold lit. This is for a member of the family and it does help with reading smaller items, but the switch location and easy activation are a bad design.
