I went up 1 size and my little girl who is 2 couldn't even put her toes inside the shoe to get it on. She does have a little wider feet but not overweight, these shoes are just way too narrow - I would lean towards the side of purchasing them if you have a little, petite girl who has very little/narrow feet.
