An excellent, very clean and close shave - as smooth as a baby's b..!

Just update from series 5 easy clean to series 7 didn't think an electrician shaver could be any better than s5 but I was wrong the s7 is a fantastic shaver as can only be expected from braun well worth the money.

UPDATE: After 2 full weeks of use I can now genuinely say this shaver gives one of the best shaves I've ever had, comparable to a wet shave with a razor blade, and I haven't had to charge it yet. It's easier to clean than my old series 5 too. Really pleased with it.Original review:My trusty 15 year old Braun series 5 is nearing the end of it's life—I've used it pretty much every day since the day I got it but the battery lasts only a few days now and I find I'm frequently charging it. Time for a new one! I looked at the current series 5 and it looks cheaper and lacks the tilting head of my old one and compared to other shavers the price suggests it wouldn't be great, but then I found the series 7 on sale at £134 so I went for it! Things have certainly moved on in 15 years! Compared to my old shaver it's quieter, lighter, great to hold, and gives a great shave—I find I don't have to go over the same patch of face 6 or 7 times and it's so much quicker. I'm just hoping it lasts another 15 years!

Nice to handle. Does the job well. Not as close as a razor shave, but ok!

The shaver itself is good but very tricky to remove the cutting foil for cleaning or to change to the trimmer. Not easy. Also the trimmer would be better if a little narrower to get into eg ears.

Top quality shaver that provides a smooth and close shave. Battery last about 10 days with charge level led. Only complaint is the price, it's very, very expensive unless you can find it in a sale.

On first impressions, a good sturdy shaver. Personally, I prefer the trimmer to be part of the shaver rather than an attachment that requires fitting every time it’s required.Battery life appears fine.A decent reliable shaver.
