They are slightly bigger for the childs age to allow for coat and clothes underneath. **Q: My daughter is 7 but has just gone in to a 6-7 not sure what size to get?** A: These come up quite big, so I would suggest going for a smaller size. We bought for a small size 7. The trousers are not hugely big, so good growing room, but the jacket is pretty big, designed to go over jumpers?! **Q: Is the jacket large enough to fit over a winter coat?** A: Obviously you would have to order a larger size than the winter coat bur it would probably be too hot for a child.
