I have a Dyson V8 and the battery has been starting to run down a lot sooner. I got this which has a higher capacity. It came with the battery along with replacement screws, a screw driver and replacement filters for the intake and exhaust. The install was very simple, remove the three screws and the battery comes out very easily. Put the new one in it's place and replace the screws. While it came with replacement screws, I just used the original ones. They were a little longer. There is one screw on the handle and two under the hatch at the bottom (see pics) The replacement battery looks very similar with a few minor differences that you can't see once it's installed. The new battery does have a little rubber bumper patch that sits flush at the bottom which is a nice touch. Although the battery has a higher capacity, it's not any larger. The battery feels well made very similar to the original one. The replacement filters seem just fine, similar to other aftermarket ones I've used in the past. I charged it overnight and used it until the battery was exhausted. It ran a very long time I didn't time it but it was almost twice as long if I had to guess. Normally I can do the steps and the upstairs and a little bit of the downstairs before the battery ran down, when it was new. With this replacement I did that but also the basement, basement stairs the whole downstairs and it was still going. I did all the corners and went over a few places because I wanted to run it all the way down before recharging. TLDNR? Easy to install, quality made and lasts a very long time, worth the price. update: 1/1/26 I've been using the new battery for a little while now. It's still working well and lasts a long time. The battery lasts pretty long. I tend to run out of steam before the battery does. I use to do most of the house on regular power and a few high traffic area spots on max. Now I can do the whole house then switch to MAX and do most of the house again. More often than not I finish before the battery is exhausted.

So far this batter has worked well and definitely extended the run-time over the factory battery. Easy to install with a small screwdriver that they give you. Only complaint is that the hepa filter that goes on the end didn’t fit my V7 Motörhead. The longer, round filters fit fine. But that’s not why I bought the battery any way. It’s only been a month so we’ll see. I had already purchased a replacement battery from another manufacturer and it only lasted 3 months. I’m hopeful this one lasts a lot longer. If not I’ll be back to change my rating and let you all know.

Popped right in and works great. Easy installation. OEM battery lasted 5 years and here's hoping this one will too. Looks, fits and performs as well as OEM too. Doesn't overheat and has clever lights for battery capacity and charging. No tools necessary.

Perfect battery and the perfect price. Charged it and plugged it in and it works as good as new. The charge last long and performance continues without any drops assuming it has great cells from the performance it’s doing.

I got this Dyson handheld battery replacement and it works exactly like I hoped. Charges up fine, runs the vacuum like normal, and honestly it’s a fraction of the price of the OEM one. For me that’s a big deal since the original batteries are kinda pricey. It’s recharagble and snaps right into place without any fuss. My Dyson went from barely holding a charge to working like it used to, so that alone made it worth it. No weird overheating or anything like that either. Overall it just works as intended. Simple, affordable, and brought my vacuum back to life.

My 10-year-old Dyson V7 was headed to the vacuum graveyard but this battery replacement not only resurrected my old Dyson, but reincarnated it into a super sucker! Battery lasts about 3 times longer than the original and I no longer worry about whether operating my Dyson on Boost mode will sap the battery in less than 2 minutes. Great battery and easy to install - just 3 screws.

It was an easy install and fit/finish looks good. Battery life was much improved over a 5 year+ battery. I haven't tested the limits but it feels as good as the original, maybe even slightly better. Time will tell on longevity though. So far, I like it with some caveats. It does come in the black plastic that the other pictures are showing, which I'm not a fan of. Also it isn't as responsive as the old battery. It seems to start and stop late compared to your trigger pull. The review that talks about the action switch/plunger length being different may be on to something. Lastly, the screws that it came with are junk - try not to strip the original screws.

This battery was a great replacement for my Dyson V8. Installing it was easy and it fits perfectly with the original setup. I like that it works with the original Dyson charger, so there’s no need to buy a new adaptor. The 9000mAh capacity is the largest I could find on the market, and the run time has been really good so far. The battery indicator light is different from the original but it works just fine and does not affect performance. Suction is strong, and the extra filters are a nice bonus. Overall, it’s a solid upgrade and a great way to keep an older Dyson working like new.

Just received this battery and installed it on my Dyson V11 right away. It worked right away with no issues. Fit is perfect and it clicks in securely just like the original. Battery life is strong — I can clean my whole place on one charge again. Capacity is bigger than the original one. Charging works normally and it doesn’t overheat. For the price, this is a solid alternative to the OEM battery. Easy swap, good performance.

Received in 3 days. Easy to swap with old one. Powered up and the vacumn worked perfectly and much better than before. Nice touch having the new filters included. Worth it.

Bought this battery in Jan of 2025. Its now March of 2026. Since installing on our old dyson V whatever, it outruns what the original battery used to give us in run time. After the OEM battery died about 5 years ago, I replaced twice with batteries from Amazon. Those replacements were closer to the specs of the original battery but they never lasted very long. I could not vacuum the whole house on a single charge and after a year they'd deplete so badly they'd need replacing. Like I said, I've been using this battery for more than a year and it runs great. I can vacuum the entire house with lots of juice left. I suspect it'll last at least another year, maybe more and I will definitely buy another to replace it when it's time. At the rate it's going, it might outlast the dyson vacuum itself.
