Incredible laptop
I bought this laptop for my son, to use for home and school work. He has an iPad which he normally uses for homework so is used to Apple products. The performance is incredible – even for the base machine with only 8gb RAM. Because Apple's M chips work so well, 8gb is enough to handle even demanding apps but he mainly buses it for browser and Office apps for school. The screen is also amazing, bright and clear and the colours are vivid. The speakers are unbelievable for such a small machine too., with bass and very clear mids and highs. It's perfect when listening music in the background or watching films too. Everything else is also of superb quality. The keyboard and trackpad and beautiful and highly responsive. And Mac OS is a joy to use. The battery lasts at least all day and the laptop is very light to carry around. The beauty of machines like Apple are they will last many more years than others. My daughter has a MacBook Pro from 2015 which is used every day and has seen her through GCSE's, 6th Form and now at Uni. If all you need it for is less intensive tasks such as doc writing or web browsing these machines go on and on. For the money they are actually very good value as they will last at least 10 years and so I give this 5 stars. Highly recommended.

Slick, slim and powerful
So I'm a diehard PC guy, haven't touched Macs in years due to feeling like they aren't worth all the hype. I work as a technician in education which means I dabble in different tech and also need to do alot of busywork, spreadsheets, audits. But I also stream and edit videos by night, so I needed something that can keep up. I hate to admit it but this was it. The M3 chip is something else! Being able to process video edits with ease, getting a bit warm but in pure silence. That whilst juggling my day job makes thing thing pure bliss for me managing my lifestyle. I've also streamed using this and although I had to get the capture criteria straight it once again runs like a dream. On top of all of that it's light as a feather, looks so slick and I've even managed to game on the thing. Played Lies of P which is a fairly detailed game and bar a few frame drops here and there it runs extremely smooth. I genuinly can't believe how powerful it is with no fans and 8gb of ram. If you want something for college or uni this is pretty steep but will do everything you need and more. As a business owner this will tick any box you can throw at it and although a 16gb model would handle it better, video editing is very very good on the base 8gb version as long as the projects aren't massively complex. To top it off the battery life is solid, I charge it once a day before bed and then use it most of the day. If you're looking for a powerhouse worklaptop that has some spare room for experimentation this will absolutely scratch that itch. It's made my life and my workload so much easier to manage now I don't know how I managed beforehand. 10/10

An excellent choice for home businesses.
I surprised my wife with this new MacBook Air for her home business, and it's been a winner! Despite my initial worries, the M3 chip delivers impressive speed – even with multiple apps running. No lags or slowdowns. For tasks like web browsing, document editing, and email, 8GB of RAM is plenty (she's not a gamer, so that's not a concern). The battery life is phenomenal, lasting a full workday without needing a charge. Unlike my frustrating Windows machine, the MacBook Air booted up instantly and was ready to use in no time. The sleek silver design is modern and professional, just what she needs for client meetings. The only downside is the timing. I bought it right at launch and missed out on a small discount that came a few days later. Maybe next time I'll wait a bit for potential deals. (But a happy wife is a happy life, right?) Anyways, this new MacBook Air is a fantastic choice for anyone who needs a powerful and portable laptop for everyday tasks. The M3 chip is a beast, and the overall design is sleek and user-friendly. Highly recommended, just be mindful of potential post-launch deals. Thanks.

Great laptop
I really procrastinated buying this due to the price, but my ancient 2012 MacBook Air was totally unusable. It was a difficult decision to justify dropping this much ££ on a new MacBook but I upgraded to the 16g 516gb and I’m so glad I did. It’s sleek, fast, so nice to use. Super quick set up, works seamlessly with all my other tech and is just really nice to use. The speakers are decent and the screen is a really good size for working and watching films (I got the 13inch after some deliberation and it’s more than adequate for my needs). For traveling it’s ideal as it’s so light and compact. Really happy with it

Fast, Fuss-Free, and Familiar—My Fifth MacBook and Still Impressed
This is my fifth MacBook, and Apple still knows how to get the fundamentals right. The 2024 Air with the M3 chip is fast—noticeably quicker even than my previous M1 model. Apps open instantly, multitasking is seamless, and everything just feels smooth. Setup took all of five minutes. Log in, sync with iCloud, and you’re back in business. The simplicity is what keeps me coming back—no bloated software, no drama, just a clean, intuitive system that gets out of your way. The 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display is crisp and bright. Colours look fantastic, text is razor-sharp, and there’s enough screen space to work comfortably without scaling things down to ant size. The midnight finish looks slick, though yes—it does pick up fingerprints. You’ll survive. Keyboard is comfortable, quiet, and well-spaced. Touch ID works reliably. The speakers are decent, the camera is fine for Zoom, and the build quality is exactly what you'd expect: solid, light, premium. Battery life is excellent—I’m easily getting through a full workday without reaching for the charger. If you're in the Mac ecosystem, this is a no-brainer. It’s not revolutionary, but it is fast, polished, and reliable. And really, that’s all I want.
