Revlon Colorstay Longwear Permanent Cream Colour

I won’t be using any other brown hair dye now that I have come across this. Colour 5 creates the most gorgeous brown tone. Covers greys and lasts. I do use a colour protect shampoo which may help with prolonging colour.

A fantastic, non-brassy, dark blonde colour. I’m too old (mid fifties) to get away with my natural dark brown hair colour, as I don’t want to look like a witch! But I don’t to be blonde, as I look too washed out with fair hair. So this is my new colour! I’ve tried them all, professional colours, box dyes. This is the one I’m sticking with. It is your usual box dye kit, but with an extra item which I LOVE - a revitalising colour-enhancing conditioner to use a few weeks after you’ve dyed it. It is so effective and completely refreshes the colour. I’ve even bought it as a separate item as it’s so good. I thought it was a bit of a gimmick, but it’s fantastic. My hair feels fantastic, even my husband commented how soft it feels. He can’t stop playing with my hair and so no complaints from me! My hair is shiny, sleek, manageable and very little damage. I’m so incredibly pleased with this product.

So decided to add some highlights/ombre to my natural auburn hair with old ombre in. The dye that i used went so clumpy and messy that it just got everywhere so i more or less bleached most of my head as had to make it even. This left is orange, brassy and yellow. The first 2 images are when i applied Olia 10.1 on top. This removed most of the orange and brass but left it warm yellow with very bright parts. I then used loreal excellence 7.11 ultimate ash blond. This was great and removed all yellow and most orange but left it looking a bit dull and green in places. Picture with hair up is from that dye. You can't see it well but in light you could seen the dirty green grey in roots but my ends were a lovely ashy blonde. The last 3 images are from this hair dye. I know i really shouldn't have dyed it again but i needed the green gone, and you need warm put back in. So i chose this becomes it still had some warm tones but also still have an ash base. My main focus was roots area as this still had some orange tones. When i put it on, the smell reminded me of my late grandma's perfume, wasn't overly potent. It went on well and i noticed it was going quite dark quickly. I left this on my roots for about 25 minutes and under 10 for my ends as i could see it was looking almost muddy black! So i panicked washing it off lol The conditioner was nice, nothing that special. I did do a deep condition on my hair afterwards. My hair is all the same colour now, it is more like a very light teddy brown, only way i can explain it but i really like the colour, it's closer to my natural colour and has removed most of the grey green pigment. With a few washes this will eventually wash out. So this review is for anyone whose got red tones in their hair and bleach has gone wrong and they need a fix lol I wish i found this sooner and just skipped all the other dyes and toners.

Pros: Excellent coverage, especially greys; gives a deep rich colour; no strong smell and didnt irritate my sensitive scalp Cons: it's very dark, it's supposed to be a 4 but it's more of a 2, it's almost black which isn't what I wanted and doesn't match the colour on the box; you'll need 2 boxes for anything longer than a bob; the undertone is purple; dried my hair out My hair before was a cool light brown with no patchiness, it's now almost black with purple, I really dislike the colour and wouldn't recommend it if you're looking for an actual 4 brown - for a darker brown it's excellent, not patchy and covers well

Really impressed, colour is really strong, covered my grey! Will definitely get again

Wow I was really pleased with this hair dye it was lovely and came with good conditioner and a boost of hair colour for to use at 4 weeks really lovely and good for the price

Recently came across these hair colours after using others for many years and these in my opinion are the best, no damage or drying plus it last really long. Definitely try it out and you'll be as impressed as I am. If you have shorter hair save the colour booster for longer instead of just 2 uses, makes your time between recolouring stretch much longer especially for greys

copertura perfetta dei capelli bianchi, anche il quantitativo maggiore rispetto a quelle delle altre colorazioni. l'odore è buono pur essendo con ammoniaca e lascia i capelli non molto secchi. la consiglio vivamente

Très bonne coloration..... Couleur correspondant totalement à la boîte, acheté pour neutraliser des "vieux" reflets cuivrés hyper moche... Attention tout de même, contient de l'ammoniaque mais l'odeur est vraiment légère, le format est généreux, le produit en crème ne coule pas, pour une fois, ma salle de bain est restée propre !!! Facile à rincer, pas de perte de cheveux, le soin est bien nourrissant..... Le petit plus c'est le soin rebooster de couleur à faire après 4 semaines, je conseille vivement cette coloration, surprise mais en bien, à racheter...... Merci REVLON 👌💕😀
