Improved Quality of Life for your Arthirtic Dog
These braces has worked great - I should have bought these earlier , I have a 14.5 yr old Golden Retriever with arthritis that struggled to stand up and once standing was very wobbly, 80% of the time I needed to pick her rear end up to get her to her feet , she would walk 10-20 feet and lay down again and thought I'd have to put her down soon. I ordered the braces , expedited the order , they arrived , and I put these on her hind legs. I wasn't expecting much but I helped her up to her feet once , seemed odd but immediately I noticed she seemed more stable and her legs were not twitching as much (wobbly) , she walked further , went to her hiding spot (signal she wanted to play) I threw the ball and she fetched it. I place the braces on every morning and take them off at night, We are now able to take longer more frequent walks , she can get up on her own and does not appear to struggle at all. Lucy has been wearing these braces for 3 weeks now and seems to be getting stronger and stronger. I believed these braces has help extend her life , quality of life , and is well worth the cost.

Excellent Customer Service
Ordered the wrong size and was promptly shipped a replacement at no additional charge even though the error was mine. Lesson learned is to use a cloth tape to measure the circumference of the leg. As far as the product itself, it is of high quality and seems to work as designed provided the patient (my dog) behaves and does not remove it. Best use of brace, in my opinion, is during walks as my dog will leave it on while walking. Would consider the two strap version instead of the four strap version if you have a small to extra small size dog. I selected the four strap and believe the two strap would work better for a smaller dog. 4 stars and not 5 only because I can't seem to secure it so that my dog can't remove it. Concerned to make it tighter on the leg to secure it better. May just be user error. LOL.

Lightweight Support
Excellent sizing chart โ my dog measured a full size smaller than I wouldโve assumed (and almost ordered automatically โ good thing I checked!). The braces fit perfectly, he seemed comfortable in them, and they appeared to be very well made. However, despite being referred to as strong support and appearing in the photos as quite structured, they are very much a lightweight brace, offering what seems to be about as much support as an Ace bandage. My boy needs a little more structure, so Iโm returning to try the metal-reinforced version. But if a simple, lightweight support is all you need, this will probably do the job.

PLEASE TRY THESE!
I have a 17 year old 70 lb., Collie mix with neuropathy. He and I have struggled for 7 months with medicines and boots, socks for pads, etc. He is obviously on his medicine and will be from now on, however he still could not walk well. After trying pretty much everything else I read about these lightweight braces. I always thought the problem was in his back and in his feet. Found out that by stabilizing his hock area it controls the feet. He was slipping on the tile so I thought boots would help. They just slipped down constantly which was annoying to him and I. I ordered a size small ( his legs are thin) after measuring correctly. They were too tight below the hock, but fine fit above. I turned them upside down(writing upside down) and this direction fit him well and not too tight. I would suggest going up one size or turning them . DONโT let the bottom get too tight or his feet will swell and then you have a worse problem. Noticed it within one day corrected it, and all is well.. He is doing great! I still have to boost him up to stand, but boy does he take off walking after that!!!!

Keeps sliding down my Rotts leg....
Looks pretty good & somewhat sturdy upon opening the package. Bought the Correct Size according to the sizing chart. Good way of indexing the size & proper placement is by lining up the REAR HOCK NOTCH-OUT & then attach the velcro straps above & below that. Then minutes later when she starts ti walk, the starr sliding down. No for the VEST/WORST complaint: Ivd never dealt with, what I consider, the Strongest Velcro on planet earth! The GRIP & HOOK/LOOP POWER is so strong that it's ANNOYING RIDICULOUS ALREADY! So hard to open ( not a weakling by any stretch of the imagination)! You decide!....... In da Garbage they go!

Not Worth It. Poor Quality
These are great hock wraps for the first week or two. But then the Velcro starts to become less Velcro-y (not sure how else to describe. My brain is fried. Hey that kinda rhymed!), and the stitching starts to unravel. Iโve had to order three pairs in the last year for my dog, Ellie, because of this issue. She only wears them when we go for walks or when she plays outside. So the issue isnโt that she is wearing them too often or chewing at them or anything. I bought two more thinking maybe Iโd gotten faulty pairs. I havenโt really shopped around for other dog hock wraps but now I am. I think $35 is much too expensive for these to start to give way after only a couple weeks. They are super cute and supportive the first two weeks though. Just wish the Velcro and stitching was more secure and of better quality.

Changed my 14 year old dogs life
If you're on the fence about buying these, you should. I have a 14 year old beagle mix whos back legs would bow in and fall. She also would knuckle her back legs because of it and drag her feet.. She couldn't lift herself up to her feet despite still being so vital. I though I'd try making a wheel chair, or what this meant for her quality of life and longevity. I read these braces helped stabilize the leg, and was apprehensive thinking it wouldn't be tall enough and its not the whole leg yaddayadda. Im glad I didn't let that stop me from trying. Amazing, immediate results. I put them on and shes able to stand up on her feet without bowing over. She can walk around the house instead of being stuck to one room. I've had them for over a month now, and her legs are so much stronger. She's able to walk down our back steps which is a big deal because prior her legs would simply buckle in and she'd fall. These not only make her happier to have, but strengthen her legs where the muscle weakened from disuse. She can take walks again around the block, slow and steady! When they're off, she's still able to walk around my home to go check out different rooms and beds. Its truly made me so happy to see such a dramatic change and know how much happier she is.

Stays on leg!
We have a mastiff that tore her TLO (ACL) when she slipped chasing after a squirrel in our backyard. After she slipped, she was limping very badly. We got to opinions from 2 vets. The first vet said surgery to repair the injury is needed. The second vet (who is her primary) checked it out and prescribed some pain meds and a brace. We took her primary vets' advice, have her take the meds for pain, and used the brace. This combination worked and w/o the brace, i think it wouldn't have worked out well. she is in full recovery but does take meds for arthritis after the injury healed. she's going to be 10 years old this year and she looks healthy enough to live for at least a couple more. This brace didn't slide down off of her leg after taking her for many walks and seemed to help with her healing. i would definitely buy another pair of these if/when needed.

Non returnable
I measured my Yorkie and ordered the correct size, but they didn't fit well. However, the quality was fine and I have no complaints about the actual product. It's really important to note that these fall under Amazon's non-returnable items, so if you don't get the right size the first time, you've lost the money. I spoke to customer service and they were kind enough to refund me, but I suspect that will depend on who you speak to, so be prepared to spend ยฃ42 on 2 bits of useless neoprene if they don't fit!!
