This is an amazing fire pot. Large for a whole party to enjoy. Super happy with the purchase and can't recommend enough. The only thing is the handle when you place it in place you need to be careful moving the pot around as and yo swing it as the handle might come off. Otherwise superb.

I am a South African who was raised with potjiekos and braais. This is just the worst quality pot I have ever seen and it is just so disappointing. The “handle” just falls off and is not fit for purpose. If I try to move the pot using the handle, it just comes off - so it would be fairly dangerous if it were full of hot food and after being heated on a fire. The feet look like they are rusted and they’ve just painted over the rust. There are deep gouges on the body outside and inside. It’s poorly manufactured and worked off. I hate giving negative reviews but buyer beware - and definitely lower your expectations. Wow just wow.

All in all a very good value item, and the smallest one does look similar to the one in the image. Couldron like! just dont expect a good finish The handle is not as shown, rather just a twisted bit of metal rod. The black coating is extrememly rough and messy. One leg has protrusions off around 5mm in the casting.

Have had to re-season this twice because it kept going rusty.

Der Dutchoven ist eine Enttäuschung. Wir haben bereits einen mit 9 Liter Volumen und wollten noch einen kleineren dazu holen. Der ist gestern gekommen und wir wollten ihn gleich ausprobieren. Also erst mal gereingt, getrocknet und dann befüllt. Dann die erste Überraschung: der Deckel passt nicht so richtig, lässt sich nicht richtig schließen. Nach etwas hin und her drehen (wozu man den Henkel vom Topf abmachen musste), ging es dann so halbwegs. Also Dutchoven auf die Briketts, weitere Briketts auf den Deckel und nach Rezept garen lassen. Als die Zeit herum war, Deckel mit dem Deckelheber hoch, um nachzusehen - nächste Überraschung. Durch die Hitze hat sich der Deckel richtig geschlossen, saß nun aber so straff, dass er gar nicht mehr abging, sondern der ganze Topf hinterherkam. Ich konnte den Deckel dann zwar mit einer Gartenschaufel aufhebeln, richtig schließen ließ sich der Deckel danach nicht mehr. Das Essen war wie gewohnt super, die Handhabung ist eine Katastrophe. Nicht nur der Deckel, auch der Henkel sitzt so locker, dass er sich ganz leicht von Topf löst. So ein kochend heißer Topf sollte sich schon sicher handhaben lassen (wie ich es von unserem anderen Dutchoven bereits gewohnt bin). Das ist bei dem hier nicht der Fall, daher geht er morgen zurück.

Der Dutch Oven zeichnet sich durch seine hohe Verarbeitungsqualität aus. Ich habe bereits erste Erfolge damit erzielt. Die zubereiteten Gerichte kamen bei meinen Gästen hervorragend an.
