It's own software is pre-loaded into the device, so installation is easy.Working well. Much better that the older wifi adapter built into my laptop.A bit cumbersome to work with, but not having my wifi connection dropped is worth it.

Super easy to use. Works great with starlink located on the other end of the house.

Directions ? - what directions ? - the "leaf" page that comes with the adapter is junk @ best - it mentions there's supposed to be a Mini Driver disc included - it's not - going to the UGreen website is a complete waste of time - WebSite SO poorly laid out - "if" the driver resides somewhere on the WebSite - I couldn't find it & the search function of the site as far as I can tell doesn't work. Loooooong story short - once you plug the AX1800 in - open "MyComputer" - or goto Windows Explorer & locate the CD which magically appears - as there is ZERO mention of this process in the "leaf" included with the AX1800. Run the setup which "should" appear in the Root Folder of the Virtual CD - that "should" install the driver - as the AX1800 is NOT Plug & Play - which it should be - but - whatever ...Once the Driver IS installed - reboot your PC ... you'll have to ... then setup the WiFi connection manually as there is No Carrier Agent which manages the AX1800 - the whole thing seems really odd for a PC device in 2024 ... the whole setup process reminded my of the many hops you had to go through WAY back with Windows 95/98 etc ... certain NOT Plug & Play by any stretch of the imagination ...Once setup ... I was able to get a constant speed of 250mbps+ up & down - need todo some fine tuning to get the wifi speed up - as this device is supposed to support WiFi AX which my new EERO 6e now supports ... the two devices do play together - but - as mentioned this entire process is NOT Plug & Play ...

I used this adapter with an HP ProDesk Mini PC, connecting it to a USB 3 port on the back of the Mini PC. At boot, the adapter would disconnect and reconnect from the computer 3-4 times. (Windows 10 would make the "device connected/disconnected" sounds) After it finally settled down and remained connected, it's performance was hit-or-miss. It's about 10 feet from our Access Point, but rarely connected to our 5 GHz network, even when it was set to prefer that network. I made sure I was using the latest drivers, and tried moving the adapter and arranging the antennas, but to no avail. Sending it back.

My office computer is on the edge of my Wi-Fi network range and I was frequently losing connections. I replaced my small usb Wi-Fi adapter with this device and after it installed its drivers, my connections have been solid. I bought another for another computer, same result. I like things that are simple and work.

the version not listed in the ad. drivers on CD only. I haven't had a computer with CD or DVD disc's in over 10 years. Luckily I had olther systems to fet driver. only the 1.0 driver detected the adapter.the adapter works is my only positive comment.

La instalación tiene de dificultad lo que Memo Ochoa tiene de merito para seguir siendo portero de la Selección, es decir, no es nada dificil, solo se conecta y Windows detecta que hay un "disco" ejecutable, estos son los Drivers. Tiene Wifi 6, si tienes un router o modem que lo soporte es un extra.Al ser un dispositivo conectado por cable tiene una clara ventaja a las que son solo USB, ya que lo puedes posicionar en cualquier parte del escritorio, la más conveniente para tener mejor señal.El diseño es genial, mas que nada pq podria ser desapercibido o no, dependiendo de donde lo coloque o el estilo de setup que se tenga.Como conclusión, es eficiente, las velocidades son buenas, tambien depende de la colocación y fuente de señal, el cable es muy bueno, USB 3.0 si alguna vez has usado un disco duro, es el mismo; es una compra que vale la pena.

I have 1000 Mbps internet. And, using this device at 4 m from the rotor with no wall in between, I receive (300 to 500 mbps), which is not as claimed. Still a decent speed.The low star rating is due to heavy interference. Using this receiver will result in significant disconnections and lag with a wireless or Bluetooth device.In short, if you rely on a wireless keyboard or mouse, I would not recommend this receiver
