Teddy Boys

The first youth subculture given a book it deserves
As a student of all youth subculture from 1950s Teds to 1980s Indie/Goth, this book was a manna from heaven.I finished the book in one sitting, and throughly enjoyed the author's detail to the subject - you could tell the author has an immense knowledge and love for the subject, as well as being an ex-member of Gallon Drunk, a very Ted/Rockerbilly influenced band. The descriptions of 50s post-war Britain, and a Britain just out of rationing really added to the theme of the book, and put it all in to context. An excellent book, and one that I really enjoyed.Max, a book on 60s/70s subcultures would be very welcome if it's anything as readable as this.
