Very secure, good fit, good traction on ice and packed snow
I needed some cleats for ice fishing. I had a cheap set, but they were constantly slipping off of my boots. I decided to try these because I'm familiar with the Boa system (I have it on my snowshoes) and I think it's secure and easy to use with winter gloves or mittens on. I got the XL size, they fit very well on my size 14 insulated boots. Stays on perfectly, very secure, and excellent traction.I have only used these for one day, but they appear to be very well built, so I think they will be durable.

Work great for support on any hillside.
Easy to put on and they snug tight. The fittings for the cleats are the best I’ve found so far. The previous three similar products were low quality and failed after just a few uses. Great product for the price.

From Hero to Zero
I was delighted to find these seemingly wonderful ice cleats on sale! Like a little boy waiting for Christmas morning I watched the quick delivery process and with wagging tail enthusiasm my bestest buddy and I headed off into the woods on a well used and very icy snowmobile trail through the woods. I was impressed with the technology of a BOA closure to tighten the cleats to my boots. The cleats fit well. The carbon steel teeth bite into the ice amazingly well which made walking on treacherous, rough ice easy. Wow... a product that fulfilled expectation! Take that winter! You won't keep me from following my four legged friend into the great white wilderness! HAHAHAH AHAHH HAHAHAHA!20 minutes into the cleats maiden voyage and the BOA wire broke. Just broke. It didn't snag on something. My dog didn't bite it. It wasn't cut by a Game Warden in an attempt to free me from some entanglement. It just broke. It even gave a "Pop" sound even...I couldn't believe it at first. It was all wrong. These things retail for approximately $100.00 and seemed to be of such great quality and design. But... there I was. 20 minutes into a walk I would never have attempted if I hadn't had ice cleats on with a failed piece of crap dangling on my right foot. Now don't worry folks. I did make it out alive and no rescue was needed BUT I did swear. A lot. Like Yosemite Sam... I was and am still very disappointed in this product. They present very well and worked wonderfully but gosh darn it, I think it fair to expect more that 20 minutes out of a product that, for the asking price, should have lasted more than 20 minutes. I returned them. There are other options out there in this category. So beware...

glued to the hardwater while ice fishing
I bought these for walking across frozen lakes while ice fishing. Today, I spent 10 hours on a frozen lake that was bare ice with a 1/2 inch of water on top of it. It was a veritable skating rink, and several kids were actually using ice skates to get around on the lake. With these cleats, I had better traction than I have with running shoes on dry pavement. No slipping, no sliding, no skidding, just 100% traction. The boa closure is what sealed the deal for me, as traction cleats are a pain to put on and take off. With the boa closure, these were easy on and easy off, and never loosened or came off while in use. The spikes are too aggressive for any use on pavement or flooring, but they work perfectly for ice fishing. I even tried skipping and running on the ice and had no problems. All my ice fishing buddies want a pair, but with the steep price we will see if they actually pull the trigger.

Well done, but too expensive
I had given up on Yaktrax because I easily destroyed the ones that have the coiled wire grips. The steel teeth are good so far. They may wear down over time, we'll see. It would be nice if Yaktrax made the steel teeth replaceable somehow. Also, these are overpriced, in my opinion. Open question as to whether it would be better to buy a cheaper product once a season rather than invest in these. They may have cost more than the boots they are on :-)

Great traction
I love them. Easier to put on than the stretchy kind. Great traction

Not as heavy duty as you might think…
I walk an hour everyday for work, so i was looking for something sturdy that would last me more than a winter in north idaho weather. I splurged on these thinking that they were gonna last. oh boy, was i wrong! FIRST day i wore them the rubber started tearing! Don’t waste your money…

Love the BOA design
Prior Yaktraxs were good but now with the BOA lacing, it makes putting them on and off easy. So far the spikes have held up through intermix terrains.
