Hello,I am very sorry for your loss. I had a border collie family member for 17 yrs, so I do understand. This Douglas item is very soft, fluffy and silky. It has beautiful eyes and the quality is excellent. I would highly recommend it.

No, not designed to be used as a dog toy.

Can the dog wear a collar, if so what size?

I guess it could. I don't know the neck size, but I'd think you could make a cat collar work, or maybe a collar for a chihuahua.

The best!!!><

It's really cute and good fur. It's quite big but worth EVERY LITTLE CENT. I use her as an essa and named her Saturn(or dream) XD Also I painted the nose pierced it and did the black dots. It comes white with a leather nose.
