Definitely order at least a half size or whole size larger than you might normally wear.Learning from that mistake, I returned the Snapdown 2s and ordered these Cael V7.0 shoes in size 7. They were cozy, but not in an arch crunchy way. In a sturdy, huggy way, so I kept them and broke them in over the next two weeks. At two to three weeks they started to break in and form around my feet. The ankle supports were a little bit stiff at first, but those loosened up by about week 4.I like these a lot. Like my Matflex 4s, I use these for martial arts. They are flexible enough that I can still use good weapon formation, but thin enough that they won't hurt my training partners. As noted above, they are sturdy. I recall that my old Matflexes began to give when I started learning spinning and jumping kicks. but these are holding up extremely well.The Matflex 4s were a good first shoe, but putting in the extra investment for the Cael V7.0 shoes was the right decision. These babies are a tight fit, it took about a week of breaking them in in practice before my feet quit going numb. But even now they are a pain to get on. I normally wear a 13, but wish I would have tried the 14s. unfortunately I didn't have time to send these back. We returned and bought a 10 and it is working well.
