Buy it!!
The media could not be loaded. I’m thrilled with the updated version!! Yes, it’s slightly bigger ( the dimensions are in the Amazon description and I included a video for reference ) so it will not fit in your pocket . However the updated information is excellent and worth it . It has been slightly expanded upon thus its size but you won’t be disappointed . If you’re looking for something smaller, the third edition works for the time being as parts of it remain up to date. I use the book at my desk as a resource vs on the floor , so for me the book is perfect and I’m incredibly grateful to have it.

Def not “pocket-sized”, pages like tissue paper.
This is a full-sized book!! I begin my clinical rotation in a couple days and have had this in my cart for months. I was looking forward to having it as a reference at my fingertips but it is just not reasonable to carry this thing around. Furthermore, the book is floppy, spiral-bound, and the pages are super thin and nearly translucent, like thick tissue paper. For $70 (!!!), as the other reviewer noted. I don’t even want to put it in my bag or bring it anywhere for fear of ruining it, it’s so cheaply made. I feel like I’ve been bamboozled.

Good information, not a pocket guide
So this book has poor reviews, not because the info is lacking or bad, but because it is not pocket sized. The 3rd edition was much smaller than this edition. I was laughing at the text in the book claiming making a pocket sized reference was one of their top priorities- they failed so badly! I’m not a student tho, I will keep this in my desk and the size doesn’t bother me-it’s just false advertising. I’m quite excited about some of the new info they added. I wish they outlined what is updated in this edition to make it easier to ‘spot the difference’

Not a Pocket Guide
Great handbook full of valuable information, however it is not pocket-sized. There’s no fitting this into a pocket of a lab coat. I’m a professor and won’t be recommending this to my students.

NOT pocket size
almost $70 for a cheaply made spiral bound that claims to “…fit in any lab coat pocket.” No. I don’t think so (water bottle for size reference).
