It's cute and it's heavy. I don't use the chain often so I'm not sure if it's durable but I do know that the chain gets caught in the hair very easily. So make sure your hair is up and out of the way before wearing it. Within an hour, it was tangled in my hair really bad even though my hair had been pulled back

Got this to wear a dog tag on (actual dog, not military) in memory of our puppy that died unexpectedly last year. It's really pretty and the 16" was the perfect length. It doesn't pull my neck hair, either, which is uncommon for me. Has a nice shine to it, too.
